She wrote this song and it’s about an opera singer before and after a war, presumably one of the world wars. The first half is her in her glory and then second part is her descent into madness and oblivion post war. I LOVE this song

The second world war, of course. The lyrics are very complex, she uses the parallelism of the decline of an Opera diva and at the same time is telling the story of the Second World War that Germany and Italy made (Italy invented the Opera) in chronological order, even using euphemisms that the Germans used as "the final decision" when she runs her finger around his neck (when they decided to exterminate people they used this euphemism), and in parallel it tells the decline of Europe with the Second World War

The euphemism they used was the final solution, not decision. It is interesting. I wasn’t familiar with this song because you don’t hear a lot of Spanish (country, not language) music in the US. I was familiar with Sobrevivire from my time studying in Spain.

There's actually quite a few different kinds of recorders and professional recorder players. The recorder was really popular for baroque music and there's a lot of great pieces out there for it :) If she went to music school, which it very much sounds like she did, she probably got her hands on a very nice recorder.
