I've loved their music ever since I heard "Lift" in the end of the Futuremark 3D Benchmark test software (essentially, an extensive 3D demo that tests 3D card capabilities) and then heard them play an acoustic version of Late Goodbye, the theme song of the game Max Payne 2, on a Finnish talk show. PotF is one of those bands I've been buying physical CD's from, to support the band. I've seen them live 3 times, when they've been to my home town Pori, two times in the audience with my wife and once, as part of concert security. Love Marko's voice. And as a nerd who once dabbled with computer programming (did graphics and dabbled with coding, mainly on C-64, then moved on to Amiga), I love the fact that their keyboard player was Captain from the Amiga demo scene!

Thank you so much, Beth! I'm happy you found Marko's voice as beautiful as I do (and this song, which is my favorite song in the entire world :-) ). Since you mentioned his baritone range and noted a couple of spots where he goes into his head voice for higher notes, I thought it would be interesting to show his range for anyone unfamiliar with his vocals. Contrast his deep baritone in the song False Kings ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJzaloaql8-diac ) to his clear, sweet falsetto in Cradled in Love ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKGTcnuHpNSJibs ). I'm a contralto (or a low mezzo soprano, depending on what reference you look at), but I have trouble singing Cradled in Love in the original key because the low notes are out of my range--but when I raise it up so the lowest notes are just barely reachable, the high notes are right on the bleeding edge of my high range (and this from a song written by a man with a gorgeous, deep baritone voice :-P ).

This may be the only Poets react I've seen from a major KZbin voice teacher. Finally. This band is so underrated

I listened to the studio version of this song years ago when it was new and I loved it then, and it's even better live! Thank you for this reaction! The music video was very cool, but the creative runs in this are well worth sacrificing.
