I love your videos, Beth. I like how you just go for it and come up with something special. I especially love that you didn’t go buy a jelly roll, you just cut one from fabric you had. We all have stash fabrics but don’t always think to do something like this to use them up. The fall fabrics you came up with are great. Thanks a bunch!

Given the price premium on all precuts, it makes sense to curate and cut your own home based selections. Just because famous brands make fun stuff shouldn't stop lovely quilts being made.

Pretty quilt Beth. I really like it. I think that it would be cool to put small pinwheel blocks in the corners or maybe half square triangles. It would be nice to make it bigger by adding some borders. Nice design.

Oh my goodness! Finished the last blocks on your summer sampler quilt yesterday. Was so intrigued by the pinwheel I started a baby quilt with that pattern. Got ambushed by the pumpkin tutorial and now have 6 pumpkin blocks...thinking of more..I still have my pumpkin colored fabric out. And now we have a homemade jellyroll quilt to try. My craft room looks like a tornado blew through. The rest of the house is getting a little dusty but I am having so much fun! Thank you, Beth!l!

Beth th top is very beautiful. What are the dementions of your top? You were smart to cut your own strips. I try to do the same. I watch a channel "Just Get It Done" She broke it down on how much you are paying per yard when we buy pre-cuts. It was outragious!

A very beautiful quilt with such calm colors. I don’t understand why cutting the large panels on the diagonal means the strips won’t match. But I loved the offset strips. Made the quilt even more interesting. Thank you for your videos. Always very calm music and wonderful to watch the quilts come together. I’m thinking of trying this in flannel since I have a lot of yardage. Again, thanks for the inspiration.

Even if not a quilt my brain sees so many other possibilities. From tote bags to pillows. I've been cutting lots of 2.5 inch strips lately from donated fabrics. Your methods and fabric selections are just perfect. I'm very jealous of your stash! I have a longer metal straight edge I use to help butt two rulers together for longer cuts. Extending with a second ruler definitely helps and weights on both rulers to avoid slipping too. It doesn't matter if seams don't match on top, all you really focus on is the overall design. So little waste using this method. Happy jelly roll sewing everyone 😋

Hi Beth! I can't express how much I LOVE this!!! I watched almost all of it yesterday but had to pause to go to the Dr's office. Is it just me or do most of us see quilt patterns/designs wherever we go?? 🤣 In the exam room was carpet squares in a sort of subtle stripe pattern-alternating the direction they were laid. I could see your quilt in this layout (without the 1/2 sq triangles of course) & was going to measure them while I waited!! I have a tiny tape measure on my key chain-doesn't everyone?? I didn't measure it, though. (haha) This is a great size for the kiddos. I could see that if you added a border to the top & bottom, it would be a rectangle & great throw size, but the strips wouldn't go that far. You always maximize what you show us 💗💗
