I first remember hearing this song on the Muppet Show when I was a kid (I got the season 3 DVD back in Xmas of ‘09 when I was eight years old).

This song was written by Shel Silverstein.
@doberski6855Ай бұрын
@@sigmaoctantis1892 Yes I knew that before watching the video, and it was listed right there in the description as well.

@@doberski6855 I didn't read the description. I have the album "Inside Shel Silverstein". I found it in a remainder records sale, for $1. (early 70s).

Ol’ Shel Silverstein is remembered as a great child author, but he also had some very adult material as well

@@mcscas68 Yikes! Actually bone saws for me are forever associated with MBS (“Crown Prince” Mohammad bin Salman al Saud) and his horrific 2018 assassination of journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi Consolate in Instanbul, Turkey - especially in this song. A consulate is supposed to be a diplomatic representation of a country in a foreign city and is supposed to be a safe space for citizens of the consulate’s home country (“But you’re always welcome to our house”), and for Khashoggi to go there seeking documents for his upcoming marriage only to be murdered and dismembered… and all because he was a dissident journalist who had criticized the Saudi government and was pushing for civil rights, free speech and equality for women. MBS will forever be known as “Prince Bone Saw” to me.
