Macrostoma is the type of betta it is. It means “large mouth” he’s stripping the eggs to raise them separately. These Bettas mate then they carry the eggs in its mouth, though sometimes young, or inexperienced ones will sometimes eat the babies, so if you’re trying to breed a lot, sometimes it’s best to raise the eggs on your own
