What was the white stuff you placed under the rocks?
@AquatikGuru Жыл бұрын
Polyfil. You can get huge bags of it. Many use it in their filters as a “polisher” to catch the fine particles and make the water crystal clear. Also works great as a filler

Won't aquasoil leach ammonia if you add the betta right away instead of cycling the tank first?
@AquatikGuru Жыл бұрын
Yes but I used cycled filters on all my aquariums and watch my parameters, fish, plants, etc like a hawk lol. I state that in a lot of my vids that I may be different with how I raise stuff due to the amount of attention I put into my aquariums. I do appreciate seeing someone asking these types of questions tho!!

I have the 9 gallon one and I feel like it’s too small for my big betta fish in it should I get the 15 gallon one
@AquatikGuru Жыл бұрын
I would! Bigger is always better. For the fish and for your enjoyment lol.

Have you modified the filtration on the Fluval at all?
@AquatikGuru3 жыл бұрын
In a couple ways yes, I’ve added a lot more ceramic rings to it via the LidPropz media basket, LidPropz “fine” intake covers, and the LidPropz low flow spray bar. You can find and see all these products in my two Fluval Flex Mods videos as well as LidPropz Shop on Etsy.

@@AquatikGuru thanks I’ve seen those was curious to see how you set up the media baskets. I want to get rid of that foam block that comes with it
@AquatikGuru3 жыл бұрын
I will make a video soon. Until then, I filled the left side with ceramic rings the middle section is where I added the media basket. I cut a course sponge for the bottom section, a fine sponge for the middle section, and pressed polyfil sheets for the top section. Combined, I can stir up the tank til I can’t see and within 30 min it’s crystal clear again.
