That's a wonderful idea. Having the clasp in the front also helps with putting on and removing the the necklace easier. Thank you! 😊

Perfect timing for this video. I recently bought some beautiful buttons and didn't want to "hide" them. Love the idea of a clasp on the side of a necklace. Thanks! ❤

It's true that some of the clasps don't deserve to be hidden. They can be a very pretty or unique focal point for a piece. Thank you for a great suggestion.

Hi Ally! Loved your vlog this morning. I have always loved a beautiful clasp on my necklaces because if I want to wear my hair up then I have a beautiful piece in the back as well. I work with polymer clay and make my own beads but I put them with crystals or pearls to enhance them. KZbinr TurtleSoupBeads can give PC'ers some wonderful ideas on this subject. She has inspired me to use my own beads as a focal point for the clasp as well. Cheers!

Good info in this video-especially the suggestion of using part of a toggle clasp as an earring, since I usually stick to smaller pieces. Some of the larger, beautiful clasps are not yet included in my beading experience. Thanks, Allie, for sharing this info with us.

Great idea for a large, beautiful Czech button that I was thinking to bezel. This will be a better idea, less work and all of my button will be seen, not partially hidden by seed beads.

Great suggestions. I noticed that the clasps were rhodium plated. What are the care and maintenance suggestions for that metal?

Clean rhodium plated silver with warm water and a mild liquid soap (like ivory dishwashing soap). Rinse and dry with a soft polishing cloth immediately to avoid mineral residue from the water. (Google Search gets credit for this response :)
