Careful...many Mustad hooks have that annoying gap in the eye next to the shank that can cut your leader when using a traditional snell-knot.

I've never once had that problem..if you tie it right you'll be fine. The newer mustads have rounded edges around the eye

@@dylanclay2741 that is good to know. Just to be safe, I use the knot less knot. However, with your information, I will again try the traditional, and hope I don’t break off at an inconvenient time.
