I love that you keep adding things to make it super accurate. Also, I had some ideas for the wagon trail, actually putting the wagon would be cool but I get thats not easy, but maybe once or twice a day a horse scent trail could appear? That way as a wolf you could smell that the wagon has been past. Also, hikers, I also get not putting in actual hikers, but maybe you could find things they have left on the trail (like a bag or a water bottle)?

I have a feeling the family tree will be more of a single-player thing like Ironwolf, some stuff is difficult to make possible for both single and multiplayer games, and honestly I think it’s nice that we have a few extra features that’s single-player only Home hexes have actually been in the game for a while, as players would just remove entire stranger packs from the maps 😂 devs needed to make it so they couldn’t be wiped from existence, lol. They weren’t marked before, however, so now we’ll just know where they’re at and that they can’t be taken down to 0%

Can we add the ability to have same sex wolf mates? It happens in Yellowstone and it kinda sucks that we can’t. There could be extra features with it like having to adopt pups from different litters that you’d find along the way, and the pups would vary in age up to 15 weeks. And maybe rather than genetic diversity being the focus, the focus would be their overall skill to hunt and protect the pups, since the diversity doesn’t matter that much in this case. A lot of us had whole stories for situations like that in wolf quest 2.7 by using some bugs, and now we just can’t anymore, and I really miss my gay wolves ngl. Maybe it could be harder to find mates since there’s a lower chance that there will be another mate interested in us. I know damn well that this will likely not be seen or I’ll get scolded by other commenters, but it’s a feature I’d be ecstatic to see in game. It made a lot of my stories for each wolf very different, and each game very different. And I’d love to have that freedom again. Also I’d love to see our past siblings in game just roaming every once in a while. A rare encounter where there will likely be a growl and then run, or just a simple wag and then run, but their name will show up. Or maybe the option to disperse with one or two of your siblings depending on the personalities of those siblings. I think it’d spice up gameplay a bit. But it’d also be hell to add in all those things cause they’d probably be pretty challenging to code in. Either way, these are just things I’ve wanted and saw others ask for. I’d be ecstatic to see any of these in game, but I don’t really think it’ll happen.

Well, the game is based on wolves having pups together and that requires opposite genders. Wild wolves don't adopt pups and would likely kill any they encounter since they are future competition. But players can roleplay how they like and create all sorts of stories. It would be fun to see wolves you know running around. Maybe someday we can think about that.

Can you guys make a mode where you can just explore the maps without having other packs attack you? Also, I think that there should be a "scent mode reader" toggle so that we can see what scents our wolf is coming into contact with even when not in full-on scent mode since scent plays such a large role for wolves. We don't have release dates - we release things as they are ready. Before working on Tower Fall, we have to finish Slough Creek multiplayer, achievements, add bighorn, and a myriad of other little things so it will be awhile.

I have a minor feedback regarding the cloud sync feature. When you import an active save with a wolf into a new computer (in my case a Steam Deck), your wolf does not appear on the main menu when you load in to the game. This remains true even once playing on the imported save. For example, my Seneca is always waiting for me on my home PC whenever I load into the game, but he's hidden away in "My Wolves" on my Deck, and a default generated wolf greets me at the main menu. I have not yet experimented to see exactly what point does the game update the wolf shown on the main menu, either when you create a wolf or when you start a game with it. (I'm not sure how to access F11 to Report Bug from on the Deck, as the on screen keyboard does not have function keys.)

Hey, very late comment, but I’ve got a few suggestions, even though this might not be the perfect place to suggest, I don’t think you’ll get my feedback from the actual game so here’s some things I would love to see I game: Stretching emote. Sleeping on your back, belly revealed. Able to destroy beaver dams if their small Sickness from pups can spread, depending on the sickness. Able to dig your own den (will take time) such as under rocks, under trees or just anywhere like a burrow. Able too drown if your in the water for a very long time and your sleep is low. Now, you don’t HAVE to do these! No pressure! Just some suggestions that would be cool to see ingame! 💙

The mobile version of WolfQuest 3: Anniversary Edition is going to take awhile. The mobile version will come after the game is completed on PC/Mac platforms. 2:24 this is great and all but will it work for ghosted wolf save files? Because my main wolf when I moved PC's and put my save files back into the game, shows up in my single player save, but not actually in the "my wolves" selection, even though all my other wolves are there. So she's clearly not deleted, but I have no idea if syncing will try to remove her, or get confused if she's not in "my wolves". To make it clear, her save file itself is within the games files. I checked, she's there, and she's there when I load up my Slough Creek save of her. HOWEVER, she is not in "my wolves", and I can't edit her. It's like she's a ghost. I would have sent a bug report about this, but considering a screenshot can't prove anything in the "my wolves" area, it... Wouldn't have helped. Should I still get into the game and try to send one, with the syncing now added to the game? Or avoid getting on if this messes it up further?

Better late then never indeed. My laptop broke and I lost all of my saves and don't have the replacement yet, but I'm fine, and this is fine. I'll just rebuild my legacies, and start over.

We are currently focusing on PC/Mac development but will turn our attention to other platforms once WolfQuest: Anniversary Edition is out of Early Access. Our goal is to get the game to run on as many devices as possible. However, keep in mind that low-end devices will not be powerful enough to run the new game. Probably not a bug, some "surprises" are just the limited number of adult coats in the game. If you think you find a bug use F11 to report.

I have an idea for a future update. I've seen some people, including myself, wanting to get a completely white pup. Maybe there could be a very small chance of getting an albino pup? It could go with pros and cons. Pros being the pure white coat and blue/pink eyes. For cons it could be higher chance of pup getting sick or being more likely to be taken by an eagle. I think that would be a neat idea.

White wolves in Yellowstone are generally a light version of a gray coat and/or a wolf coat that lightened with age. Albinism is a mutation/disorder of genes that results in little or no production of the pigment melanin. While it is also an inherited condition, albino wolves have not been seen in Yellowstone so we aren't including them in the game.

Will raiding cattle ever make a return? I liked the choice we had to kill a baby cow at the risk of being shot to keep our pups fed.

If that option returned, it would be cool if we could carry the cow calf home and let the puppies feed on it themselves, instead of just eating all we could of it and then regurgitating the meat. How fun that'd be! If our wolves can carry a moose calf, a cow calf shouldn't be too hard.

Iclynnx Er, I don’t know, by the time a cow calf is allowed with the rest of the herd it’s about the same size or larger than an adult wolf.
