I have used Gortons fish filets as a sandwich. 2 fit perfectly on bread, with cheese and I mix up my own tarter sauce, mayo, extra sweet relish, garlic and onion powder and a little Dijon mustard. We like it, with tater tots. Nice to see you back,my favorite KZbin celebrity 😀

Those frozen fish squares have been a comfort food for me since I was seven, eating them from a TV dinner that included instant potatoes, peas, and applesauce. I'm glad you're feeling better! I am a fish sandwich fan too, but McD's has gotten so chinchy with their fish, cheese and sauce that I don't do that anymore. I am lucky to live where we have a lot of fish camps so I go there to get a fish sandwich with real flounder and tartar sauce. No comparison... I'll try the Mrs Paul's though...

Mr.Tom I'm so happy you shared this video. I dearly love Wendy's filet fish sandwiches. They are seasonal, tho. Now I can fix for myself with Mrs Paul's. I love everything you put on your sandwich, I would add a piece of iceberg lettuce. Then I'd be in hog heaven😊 Hope you're feeling better now.

Thanks Mr. Tom. You're absolutely right. Mrs Paul's does make a really good sandwich.The only difference in your's and mine is that I use Duke's mayo instead of tartar sauce and I use thinly sliced onions instead of chopped ones. Much Love ❤

I agree! I use to get the fish sandwich at McDonald’s when I’d be traveling or had to grab something fast. I really enjoyed it back when… I tried one I guess about a few months ago. It has been effected by shrinkflation! The patty shrunk! Mostly bread and tooo much tartar sauce. Just not the same. I don’t even care for their fries anymore. It’s all changed. I love frozen fish patties. Just got out of the habit of buying them. Im going to add it to my list.

Glad you are on the mend, we were praying for you. We love McDs steamed buns, so we wet a paper towel, wring it out, wrap it all around the bun and nuke for 10 to 15 seconds = perfect steamed buns :) We hang the paper towel to dry and use it for whatever. Yours costs about 1/2 of McDs and are much better! Be good to yourself, please.

I like Gortons for fish sandwiches at home. I got tired of fast food sandwiches that are skimpy and high priced. I can buy a box of fish fillets and have several meals cheaper than paying fastfood prices. When you're on fixed income you have to stretch the dollar for the better value, as you well know. Mr. Tom, my husband and I do our Arby's roast beef too. We buy a little Shaved Roast beef from the deli, add a little horseradish sauce and slice of cheese on the bun, heat the meat and cheese. YUM! Try it, you'll love it.

We don't have Mrs. Pauls in our neck of the woods. I use Luby's Fried Fish filets from HEB to make our fish sandwiches. I mix some Duke's mayo, with some dehydrated onion, dill relish and a dash of lemon juice for my homemade tartar sauce. YUM YUM. With prices what they are we can no longer get fast food. Since I found out I can't eat gluten... all sandwiches are OUT (yeah it's so much fun, anything good that you want to eat, you can't because it has gluten, I didn't even know exactly what gluten was when I had to start this terrible journey), but luckily this is not my thing anyway.
