These are just small I think. There's different sizes and it's very dependent on the waters they're from. They don't look overcooked to me tbh.

Same! I always do them at home! Just like you have shown, they are so easy to make and way less expensive. Plus when I make them at home I won't be disgusted by dirt, grit and beards like I did the last time I ordered them out at a 'popular destination restaurant' in the Outer Banks.
