Reminds me of Anderson JC black pepper chicken stall in the late 90s, so yummy, been trying to recreate the taste but to no avail. Will try this recipe with less water and more oil!

Are the woks that you use available in Australia? It's hard to get a decent wok these days as they are recycled metal and have too many hot spots. Just found out the pans are available in Australia so I will check them out.

Do you eat the curry leaves? I saw some curry for sale in a local nursery, but didn't get it because I didn't know what to do with it. I have some powdered S & B Asian curry powder, but don't use it because my husband doesn't like curry. I love the Asian curry powder, though because the flavor is a good blend, to me. This dish you cooked looks delicious and your voice is pleasant to listen to. Thank you.

Hi Maw Maw. You can eat the curry leaves but usually we won’t purposely eat them though. It’s a good idea to get curry leave plants cos you’ll have endless supply of them for a long time. We got ours a few years ago and the plant just kept multiplying. Another way is to see if you can get some from your neighbour then you don’t have to buy the entire plant. You can see if anyone has curry seeds to give you then you can grow them from scratch. Hehe. Actually curry powder wont have the same taste as curry leaves. Curry leaves are more recommended for this dish. Hope this helps.

Today I learned that whenever I add serbuk kari degang to an Indonesian dish it magically becomes Indian. Same as how adding curry leaves to this dish magically made it Sri Lankan. /s :|
