The story of Erik is so good, such a fighter! Cancer survivor, was the lead singer of Skid Row until he recently decided to quit to take care of himself better. Also Sweden's best rock voice!

@@chillieice That´s right. He won back in 2009, when he was 22 yr old. He was also the frontman in the rockband H.E.A.T 2010-2020. Fronted Skid Row from 2022 until 2024. I loved his voice and personality right from the start in Swedish Idol! A tiny young man with a big big voice!

Indeed, i still remember the moment he entered the audition on Swedish Idol with 18 and life. I was really knocked out of my chair when that happened. from the low standard the Swedish Idol scene has had in my eyes, I did not expect anyone to be able to perform on the level he did right out of the gate.

His vocal range stretches from E2 to A5, no falsetto included, he can very well belt or mix his way up to A5 and sustain it. He sits very comfortably in that thousandth percent, he is really mobile and has amazing agility in very high parts of his register.

This kid went to audition for Swedish Idol as a 17 year old kid, skinny and pale with an acoustic guitar... He started to sing Skid Row, and blew the jury away, and stole the heart of every swede, and made Sebastian Bach go hide in a tipi for ten years!!! Of course he won the whole shit, BUT!!! He only made the first price record and then he disappeared, no interviews or shows... Nothing... He left it all and joined a Hard Rock Band, cause he's just a Singer!!! Toured the world, and wound up doing a lead in Jesus Christ Superstar in London for two years... And then he came to you... God bless him I love him Love from Sweden 💖

I have known about Erik since he was 16 and won the TV show Idol in Sweden. I knew he is an absolute world class, fantastic singer. But to take on I will always love you… That’s vocal suicide for many singers. It’s like trying a cover of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. OMFG! Nailed it!!!

Listen to Dan Vasc and you will love him too. Infact they did a collaboration together that was epic. Plus they have a very different styles yet are capable of more. He had leukemia so left Skid Row for his health. He got a bone marrow trans0lant and is now cancer free. Loved your reactions. Disturbed Sound of Silence cover is the best. Dud can sing an incredible range. Just a bit of info and honestly this was an honour to hear it.
