This is a variation of a jigged woolly bugger. This particular one is designed for brook trout, featuring a hot spot head and resembling a crayfish. However, it has a very general buggy appearance with lots of movement! It works great in pocket water, sinking fast and providing lots of action to trigger a strike.

#flies i use jig buggers on one stream that thery stock with brooks, browns and rainbows but at different times of the season. In white and black, typically the stockers will hit the white jig bugger and the wilds will hit the black one. Or ill use jig buggers when i need to get more depth in a slow pool. Main stay in my box thats for sure.

Woolly buggers absolutely suck compared to most other bead/jig style streamers. Golden and "olive" retrievers specifically out fish woolly buggers ten fold for me as well as most other guys that i know.
