I used a few 2x4 cut to bottom of box hight, slap the box on top and nail away, no measuring needed. Also used a 2x4 to mark my holes, nice and straight

For you being new in front of the camera don't beat yourself up your doing a great job explaining everything your doing which is extremely hard to find on youtube. Everything is either half ass or just talking and no work to explain whatever the person was talking about. Keep up the great work. Is there anyway you can go over how to install a generator panel and what is all needed to do it right? If you were in my city I would hire you right now

I’ll have to look into it closer. I may just do it if I cant find a well priced Electrican. I already have 90% of the items needed to complete the job. I’ll keep you posted. it might be different here but the line you drew for height of the box, that type of arrow makes me think thats bottom of box, we put the tail top of the horizontal line if we want top of box. Might be different, just something I wanted to point out.

Same! In our state. That is the BOTTOM of the box NOT the top.

@@dathip The only thing that matters is that the one putting in the boxes knows where they are going. Doesn't matter if the mark means top or bottom, just as long as they end up in the right spot.

My work is more important than a couple blocks. Framers fail almost 100% of the time and they can add an alternative for a reinspect if needed id rather continuity of all heights and convenience of something a homeowner will see everyday than what’s in my way of making finished work look good

@@dallas5374 The 2x4s serve as structural members sometimes but are also backing for drywall, support for electrical boxes, and they will need to be drilled through to pass cables and pipes. So it is necessary to do what he did so things end up where they need to be.
