Why is there a college for residential wiring...? You can literally know everything in a year or less when you are in apprenticeship

@firedragon5927Ай бұрын
@@usacycling5949 This is such a ignorant question. Why wouldn't their be class's for residential electrical? Sure you could learn everything through an apprenticeship but so could teachers, nurses ect. Most jobs can be learnt just by having some random joe show you the ropes but atleast with a course you learn how to do everything the proper way.

Love your work and logic. Here's an idea which may save time, go around with cans of colored spay paint to mark switch and outlet locations rather than using a marker.

Kinda hard to write out the symbols and descriptions accurately and efficiently on a little 2x4 stud with spray paint. The marker is easier to see than a pencil but still fast and a fine enough tip to write notes.

I agree with the layout. One thing I always do during lay out is carry my story stick and go ahead and mark switch height. i carry it around and mark all heights for switches, washer, dryer, kitchen counter height and bathroom receptacle heights, while walking through that way my goons cant mess it up. oh wait they still mess it up . What state do you do work in? I am in Alabama, got injured on commercial job and was sent to baby sit residential guys, so some code questions come up and I am lost, I was told a kitchen light has to be on it's on circuit which makes NO SENSE. Most kitchen switch boxes have the porch light and flood lights maybe a dining area light kitchen light maybe a fan switch lots of box fill , so why the hell would the code say to put a kitchen light on it's on circuit? If you can give reference # for a correction I would appreciate it . I get aggravated with the house wiring and really aggravated when I dont know the actual way I can do it and still be in code . I need a video on a 3 or 4 bedroom circuit layout , see how you guys run your homeruns and branch circuits and compare , learn new ways to adapt or pull rooms in better ways

U better hurry up young butcher. One house one day. That’s all u get in residential. Better not be taking trips to the bathroom or truck for parts. No lunch either. If a house doesn’t get done in one day the company will be going to shit cause of the trips back. Residential is nothing but a ridiculous rush cause the builders don’t pay shit and make it hard to get paid for extras and changes. I work with two guys. One does low boxes and the other does lighting boxes while I mark out. We are expected to get a house done in a day. It’s getting very old rushing around with your head cut off
