It's called Ramm4 as it is the 4th song to reference the bands name repeatedly. The first being "Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?", the second the song "Rammstein " and the 3rd the song "Rammlied". All have excellent live performances

The majority of the song is made up of Rammstein song titles and lyrics. Here are all the songs referenced in this song-either though their title or a well known line from the song. Sonne, Das alte Leid, Der Meister, Wiener Blut, Mein Herz brennt, Feuer frei!, Asche zu Asche, Bestrafe mich, Liebe ist für alle da, Bück dich, Amerika, Ich tu dir weh, Stein um Stein, Engel, Weißes Fleisch, Du riechst so gut, Herzeleid, Wo bist du, Stirb nicht vor mir, Führe mich, Links 2-3-4, Du hast, Keine Lust, Zwitter, Reise, Reise, Mein Land, Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?, Feuer und Wasser, Ich will, Spieluhr

Rammstein is named after the town of Ramstein with one M. The USA has an airbase there. During an air show in the 80s there was a tragic plane crash in which 70 people died and hundreds were injured. The song Rammstein is based on this disaster. The band in which the keyboarder Flake and Paul the rhythm guitarist played before Rammstein had the words "Rammstein Flugschau" (Rammstein air show) on their tour bus. However, the addition "air show" was then dropped quite quickly. Richard the lead guitarist later provides another explanation for the band name. Rammstein stands for a stone for ramming at gateways, so that carriages do not damage the gate when passing through. I rather believe the older story, also because they once explained how ignorant they were that the place Ramstein is spelled with only one M.

The lyrics are a combination of the names of older songs.

A live song only unfortunately but a really clever song at the same time-song titles, lines from songs like Engel and Weiner Blut, lines from Risen from Ruins (national anthem of the former East Germany where the band were born) and then the chorus. Till as a performer loves to play to the audience, perhaps as a way of overcoming his renowned stage fright and this accounts for his stage make-up as well. Lovely reaction to what is a really catchy song. Once you know the lyrics, you can't help but sing along!

Hahahaha.... Till's bed time story will have you gripping your pillow tight, and saying a prayer to chase away the beasts in your closet, in your head. (I totally did not pinch those words .......much). This is the perfection I've come to expect when the name Rammstein is uttered. (It's a city in Germany, very historic, and quite beautiful). After the carpet bombing from the allies during WW11, there's still a lot still standing. It's a similar story with Frankfurt. It seem our bomb aimers were more miss than hit !!! Another absolutely flawlessly improvised mix up from an astonishing live band. I don't know German, but I did recognise lines from other songs here. I'm more than over joyed at you taking such pleasure from this group. Once I saw "XXX", I hunted them down, and have never looked back since.

Who says Germans dont have a sense of humour with lyrics such as - ''Bück dich, Amerika! Ich tu' dir weh, Stein um Stein''

Flake once said in an interview that they used to cover themselves with instant coffee to get the dirty look. Later he got a white paint to look cool. So I am not sure whether they really need the fire protection.

I like this song, too. The intro reminds me for some reason to Depeche Mode and the guitar-part reminds me as well to another song, maybe an old heavy metal song, but yet I haven't figured out which one.

It's a shame that you've already watched the song! Better been Ramlied. But no matter if you've heard more Rammstein, watch the video again and listen to the text! But that only works if you listen and record! Close your eyes and pay attention to the text! But only helps if you have listened to the other songs! 😊

Short addition what the statement "Ja! Nein! Rammstein!" means. It shows the reaction of people when they hear about the band Rammstein. Because the band is so controversial, one half is excited and the other half is shocked. JA!😍😎😃 NEIN!😱😖😣 RAMMSTEIN!🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥

It's not so difficult to learn german for an american or english Person as you might think. English is in many words similar to German. I would say, english is an extreme German dialect.
