Great video! Do you use Match or Difference? I felt in my plug-in the line feature was „upside down“

I use the difference setting, I believe. I bought the original Reference when it first came out which didn't have the option for the match setting, so I just got used to the difference one! But I'm glad you liked the video!

Love it, but what to do when you use Spotify instead of wave files since I don’t own wave files?

That's a good question! Sometimes I'll download the song off of KZbin (it's not the best quality, but it's usually good enough for general referencing) or with the newest version of Pro Tools, it's easy to record straight from Spotify. If you have the high quality setting on in Spotify, then that's usually pretty good. But yeah, it's definitely a little trickier now that you can't really buy music many places to own the wave file!

Why does my Line Level seem to change (as if to another song) when I flip from my Original to the Reference (not changing the ref)? Shouldn't it always be the same difference/match curve of the two files? I understand the Width changes to show each file but not the Level line. Thanks!

Hmm, it definitely shouldn't be doing that! That sounds like it might be a bug to me. I'd reach out to Mastering The Mix to see if they can help you sort it out.
