This is a game changer plug in❤very different from metricAB which is also very good. They compliment each other so well. Some overlap but still worth it

I bought this plugin a long time ago and did not understand how powerful it was. Your tutorial and dive into it helped me so much! Thank you :)

Is the reference track also affected by the plugins already in the channel?

Really good demonstration. However, would have been nice to actually know why you think it is “best”. I really like Metric AB and haven’t seen anything here that as far as I can tell isn’t available on that in one way or another. Would love to know how they compare in your view. Thanks!

Hey Tom, Can you point us to any in depth videos where they actually show how they work on getting that Line level in check and what tools they would choose? Would be really helpful to see a few examples. Seems like it can be tricky as you adjust one area... and it affects the others. Thanks! Love Reference 2.

Q: It's like you're chasing the reference track's frequencies?? How can you adjust your eq settings when its bouncing all over the place?
@samsmyers3 жыл бұрын
It's kinda just like using a frequency analyzer but taking a slower average of the frequencies. It's not perfect, but I still find it incredibly useful.

But how do you get the reference tracks? Pirate Bay is down and we all use Spotify? ;)
@bryanjones51824 жыл бұрын
Awesome video mate. I have a question....where do you get the reference tracks from? Do I record them directly into my DAW from my phone, computer etc, from say Apple Music, Spotify?
@samsmyers4 жыл бұрын
if you have Spotify, you can pull the audio using a program like TunePat, or you can google search for a youtube to mp3 converter and find the song on youtube and then use that program to download an mp3. Sometimes you can find a free wav download on like Soundcloud but idk who really uses soundcloud any more.

Do you know why does my Line Level seem to change (as if to another song) when I flip from my Original to the Reference (not changing the ref)? Shouldn't it always be the same difference/match curve of the two files? I understand the Width changes to show each file but not the Level line.
