Beautiful table, great camera angle. Your mechanics are masterful. You can hit the same spot and your dice stay together in the air. You prove the point this game is not merely the "luck of the dice".

El Toro Dice Club I guess the whole mechanics. Angle and such. I don’t seem to understand how to make the throw so what it’s supposed to do because I just can’t get it to work.
@El_Toro5 жыл бұрын
Gotcha.... this is going to be a bit long but I'll break it down. The Grip: For you to get the dice lined up, you will start with a standard 3 finger grip only turned 80-90 degrees to the back wall so they are moving in-line. you then drop either your little finger or ring finger behind the back of the dice to help push just in case the grip is too loose. The index finger should be lined up on the top front corner to edge of the front dice. The thumb should be more towards the back dice to keep it steady. Your grip should be very loose, just barely holding the dice. The Stance: Your shoulders should be facing either the receiving back wall or the opposite corner or rounded side. Keep from hunching over or leaning towards the table. You want to stay square to your target. The Back-swing: The dice never come up from the table, you slide them back about 6 - 8 inches, until the wrist is in place and your elbow is straight, don't completely lock it out. Your wrist and arm are now set. This works great from SR1- SRHook & (Table End - unless your under 5'6" then the rail is too high). Forward Motion: Focus on your target and look at exactly where you want the dice to land, lock that in. Begin movement by raising your hand and arm as one unit, your shoulder is the fulcrum and does the work not your arm or bicep. Keep your wrist locked in place during this forward motion. Once your hand is in alignment with your locked in landing zone, then the dice are in position. The Release: This is the easiest part of all but the most difficult to get right. The fingers should be tight together to keep the dice from spraying all over the place in the air. The only moving part on the release is the thumb, and its not a big movement. The thumb just lets up enough so the dice are released, too much thumb and your dice start to spiral clockwise. Also if you release with your fingers the dice spiral counter clockwise. If the release is done correctly the dice will travel together in the same path just separating a bit, trailing each other with a slight draw to them. You will also be able to see the pips clearly as they travel through the air (Little to No spin). The Landing Zone: The moment of truth has arrived... If the dice have landed in your target spot, Congrats! If they have landed on the flat faces even better (sometimes they stick the landing like a gymnast). This is where there are many different opinions regarding dice movement and action. Some folks prefer the dice to just die and bounce once close to the wall (accomplished by counter directional spin on a standard overhand toss). Others prefer the dice to release the energy by rolling out on an axis. You have to decide what you like, it's your roll. On most of my videos, I prefer to land in the COME area about where the 9, 10 place bet boxes are. This lets my dice get on axis and roll out touching the back wall, very rarely hitting the pyramids. The Outcome: Results will vary, but practice. Remember, this isn't Sharp Shooting the Dice..... Hope this helps you to understand what goes into shooting the dice, Thanks again brother, for the positive feedback

Don't know if you are still checking the comments on this video, but if so, I would love to see a video on your grip, grip pressure, etc. for this toss from the end of the table. Do you use this toss and grip from stick right 1 and 2? I have worked extensively on my grip and toss from stick left 1 and 2 but not too comfortable from end of table and stick right 1 and 2.

thx for the video Toro, I wonder how Vince's field multplier would work with that set? Maybe you could shoot a video. I know you aren't a fan of the field, but set a 100 max bet and collect blacks I think that set, with you as the shooter, makes sense.

I've played around with the field bet concept, seems like I loose more than I win. Keep in mind, I shoot for the ATS. Now with this dice set, there is a big possibility that I might try it.

I consider myself a decent shooter at this point... i roll 10-12 times before hitting the big red. But how do you decide when to pull out. I have taken money down and watch and it appears I pealed off too early, done the opposite too and lost my ass. so what’s your rule on staying up and pulling back?

Instincts use your instincts if you find yourself throwing a long roll and your voice on the inside is telling you pull your bets down or turn them off then do so if you find yourself hitting a couple points play the short game
