To all the Barchie fans, I'm sorry to break it to you but Barchie is cancelled. Barchie was supposed to continue in the next few episodes but due to the hate from the Bughead fans they cancelled it. If you don't believe me watch the episode again. It is clear that the scenes with Betty and Archie seemed rushed, especially the one with Betty rejecting Archie. The scene with her holding on to one diary was just a move by Riverdale, so if they COULD bring Barchie, it wouldn't appear out of nowhere. The reason I say could is because Riverdale wants to continue with Barchie, but they can't because they are afraid that all the Bughead fans will lower their ratings and reviews. If you want Barchie to continue you have to rally up against Riverdale. #Bringbackbarchie

Best Boss not true. no episodes were cancelled. they are building a foundation for barchie to rise, and it’s pretty evident. the fact that betty kept ONE diary, the way she said she loved jughead but has been IN LOVE with archie for 10 YEARS, the way that archie hasn’t wrote a song in a year but picked up his guitar for HER, the heart and the head metaphors. episodes were pushed back because of corona but none were canceled.

I put a lot of thought into their relationship until I came to a conclusion, I think that after Archie's dad died he finally came to the realization that he needs to start growing up and mature. I think while trying to find himself and grow up he realized the feelings he still had for Betty underneath I also think that Betty's reaction to him admitting his feelings influenced him going into the Naval Acadamy. Sorry I write a lot. Lol

Part 1 of my thoughts I think everything is fine and barchies story is not over. Here is why. In the episode we kept on hearing this theme of “love” and “i love”. For example, I believe it was both scenes betty says “i love jug” as Archie says he “loves” Veronica. We see Archie at his dads grave & his emotions are everywhere. Next we have the 2nd bunker scene where Betty stops Archie singing and says “I love jughead and you love Veronica”. Archie was quiet, and looked confused. I truly believe the song was a love song, and him admitting his mistake for letting her go all those years ago. So back to the “i love theme” Betty said “i love jughead, not “I’m IN LOVE with jughead. There’s a DIFFERENCE When Archie is playing in his room his mom says, “it’s for someone special, has Veronica heard it?” he is lying to his mom. His decision to join the navy was influenced by bettys reaction. IF betty is IN LOVE with jughead, why is she STILL lying. Also, the issue with Cheryl. Cheryl and Betty, ARE NOT CLOSE. how does SHE know that “bettys in love with the idea of Archie” when they never had a friendship. They never have scenes together. It should have been Kevin because they spent an entire summer together pandering about her feelings towards Archie. Can someone just answer this for me. exactly who all knew Betty liked Archie when they were kids? How would cheryl possibly know that. She (Betty) hid all those feelings in her diaries. The only person who really knew how she felt towards Archie WAS Kevin. They (Cheryl and Betty) weren’t friends when they were younger as stated in the episode and even in the pilot episode. Also In 1x13 Archie says “a little part of me always thought”... in 2x09 they kiss, and then don’t share a single scene (just them) until 3x01 which lasted a minute. The writers never allowed them to talk about the kiss and what it meant, it was always from the mouths of Veronica and Jughead (2x14) Then Betty and Archie share another moment after the prison escape (season 3, again last a moment) Why are the writers afraid of giving barchie scenes😳. Literally, if barchie are “just friends” why didn’t they allow them to have a conversation about everything that happened after 2x09... in 4x15, who comes up with the fake dating, and yet BOTH Veronica and Jughead ask “did you feel anything, or any old feelings come back”? Both Archie and Betty respond with the same tone, “you’re the only guy/woman for me”. But what happens towards the end, who’s texting about being a bad kisser, as if that would matter. It could have been a peck on the lips and that’s it, but they made out. Archie, literally was going to reply “I’ll do it any time” but deleted. How could i forget, “you and me playing boyfriend and girlfriend and jughead being jealous but wait, i thought nothing was there (as jug said, just a harmless kiss right) let’s be honest, had Cheryl never saw them kiss or blackmailed Archie, they would have never told them. Part 2 The burning of the journals and it’s meaning. I would like to know as to why people are happy betty is burning her journals... like do you understand those journals are only “words”. Memories last in your mind and your feelings last in your heart. Before the episode when the sills came out with Betty by the fire place, I think we all collective thought it was her diarie, given we would be seeing flashbacks of barchie as kids. What came to mind before and after the episode was this. IF Betty is burning her diaries that contain memories and feelings about archie, then that’s a low. Like i understand you thinking it’s magically going to lose those feelings about Archie, but memories and feelings are something that’s a part of you. Those diaries are just words per say. Her burning those diaries that contain secretive feels and love towards Archie, will never go away. So i don’t see the point in burning words. That’s kinda selfish to burn journals just so you might feel secure in your relationship.I mean selfish in that way that’s she’s trying to destroy and lose feelings that’s in a diaries. Like yes, she can do whatever she wants with HER diaries, but if the sole purpose of burning them is due to her feelings about Archie that makes no sense. Feelings aren’t in a book. It’s in your heart. Like she has a right to feel guilty, but why burn journals. Like Betty is burning journals to “try and lose her feelings” but yet her reasoning to Archie is, she doesn’t want to lose very one and is playing it safe. Am I wrong here? What significance burning the journals have on FEELINGS. Again, i hope I’m not coming off rude but it makes no sense. What they could have done instead of burning the journals, is for THEM TO ACTUALLY TALK. Agaim, this epsiode proved the writers don’t allow barchie to communicate. This epsiode could allowed Archie to say what he meant “a little part of me always that” (1x13), have a conversation about the kiss (2x09), and how they actually felt about the fake dating and the kiss in his garage. But no. In the final moments of last night episode, Betty is “ALL IN” but why is that.... because she’s trying to surpress their feelings about Archie.

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate that you took your time to write ALL THIS. I loved Barchie, I still do and I always will. I read that in the prom episode Archie will sing the song he wrote for Betty. They are MEANT to be. In the first episode Archie rejected Betty. Now he regrets it so much and everyone can see that. I just hope they’ll be endgame.

Okay, I'm going to be real I def have a feeling they are soul mates. I like to think of the red string of fate when it comes to Archie x Betty because the string may get tangled or stretched but never broken. So involving the different seasons the red string of fate was just tangled. In reality, I feel like they are end game and that secretly the show was hinting they would be endgame.

Omg, I got chills watching this video. It was fantastically done. The timing and transitions from one expression and moment from Betty to Archie, the voiceovers, and lyrics of this song just mesh so beautifully together. I feel so much angst in this. It's like you know when Betty interrupted Archie from him stating what he feels, Archie didn't respond to Betty asking him if he loved Veronica. Betty is taking the safe way out not to hurt anyone when deep down she's hurting inside. It's like she wants to but cant but Archie seems to be ready to make his move. It's like this slow-burn torcher. You want to root for these two to finally get together and try to not hurt the people around them. There are sure sure signs that this is far from over. Feelings just don't go away even how much you try to bury them with the people you're with.
