You know, I'll bet you anything that the Ben Stiller film "Night at the museum" was based off this, or at least inspired. There's no way it couldn't have been; both films practically follow the same premise. Other thoughts: Cartoons back then were weird about censorship: either there was none, or the cartoon ended up being banned entirely. Some betty boop episodes, like this one, involves smoking, which is not allowed in today's media for kids. Others involve straight up indecency. Nowadays if you were to include any of that in anything with under a PG-13 there'd be a big stink about it. But then, in the 1930's cartoons were not meant exclusively for kids, so...
