Betty Lynn loves Mayberry life in Mount Airy, N.C.

I visited Mt. Airy NC a few years ago and unfortunately didn't have the privilege of meeting Betty Lynn, I can truly understand why she wanted to live there, Its a wonderful town, But on a somber note I am saddened to hear about the passing of Betty Lynn, She was such a beautiful lady and terrific actress, RIP Miss Betty, You will be greatly missed by all, especially the fans of The Andy Griffith show. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family at this difficult time. 🙏

I met her this year and last year at the Andy Griffith festival in Mt. Airy. I respect her so much. And she is so beautiful......she talks to you like she genuinely is glad to be talking to you. All the actors and actresses from the show were like that to us.

I grew up in flat rock, just outside of Mt. Airy. My father did a few pictures that he drew of the people that worked at the Snappy Lunch. He and I when I was just a boy, use to go every Saturday morning around eight in the morning and we had a host of options of food. Later,as I was older and was looking to earn my first car, it was a great time in my life. I really looked up to Charles Dowell. I was so proud to be a part of the Snappy Lunch history. I still have a great pride of severing the people of Mt.Airy. I am pride of being a son of the town and a man who had a great father and Mother. Thank you Mt.. Airy for the kindness and love you showed my family.

Gary KlunkervilleTown she really is, despite being quite frail still goes to the Mayberry Museum at least once a month to visit with fans. Participates in Mayberry Days nearly every year. A class act and a darling. A contact of mines mother is best friends with Betty Lynn, a few years back Peggy told me that neither her mother or Betty had a copy of Betty's film Father Was A Fullback. I made a couple nice dubs and sent them their way. Weeks later got a lovely thank you from Betty Lynn. Still treasure it.

I used to live in low gap next town over was Mount airy where she lived at Ridgecrest. I used to go there all the time but I never saw her. I knew she was there but never saw I was taking care of other ladies there.

I saw on You Tube an old Walt Disney show , Texas John Slaughter with future author Tom Tryon. she played Mrs. Slaughter . She was in many Hollywood productions besides TAGS. Similar to another cute redhead, Marion Ross of Happy Days fame. Many roles but known for one breakout role . If I saw her I would ask her about working for Disney.
