Betty demonstrates how to make Bacon-Wrapped Lit’l Smokies for Easter. This is a sweet and salty finger-food appetizer.
Bacon-Wrapped Lit’l Smokies
12-ounce package of cocktail smokies
about 12 strips of bacon
dark brown sugar, as desired
Cut bacon strips in thirds. Wrap bacon around cocktail smokie, and secure with a toothpick. Place each one in a baking pan or on a broiler pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake at 325 degrees (F) for about 40 minutes. If extra crispness of bacon is desired, move pan to upper oven rack and turn oven to broil for a very short amount of time. Remove from oven and immediately transfer to serving dish. Serve while warm. Enjoy! --Betty
