Well done you!!! I did the same thing a few years ago - but it was with quilting. I had 2 massive cupboards full of supplies and was teaching, writing patterns the lot - and then in my late 40's I just stopped after 25 years of sewing I gave it all up! I now dabble in mixed media, but nothing to the extent I was doing before and I've made room in my life for other things. It really is the best feeling. Good luck for whatever the future holds.

I get it. Every word you said, I get it. I don't like the pressures I feel from watching videos with all the "newest and latest" stuff. The videos are what I'm thinking of giving up. Good Luck to you.

Good for you for making the difficult choice. It doesn’t seem possible since I did see you at Creativation 2020 with Pamela and Casey and your involvement seemed so intense. I enjoyed watching you create even though I don’t make mixed media items. I wish you much good luck in the future doing whatever you choose to do next.

You have touched my heart and I will be praying for your journey. I have become blind and I already have significant health issues. Instead of listening to my still small voice to stop putting so much time and effort into my art and more in to God and my family. You have been heard because you were brave enough to post this and you answered my prayer asking what now??? Hugs and blessings

It can be overwhelming. I quit the company I was with. So much pressure. I did not make 1 penny. Now I make what I want and don't have to follow their rules. I'm making back the money I spent. I may completely quit after that. I enjoyed sewing and crafting to make gifts for friends and family. No pressure.

My friend! Praise God your heart was open for when God did whisper in your ear! What is the name of this beautiful song? Did you sing it? May God richly bless you as you walk on this new journey. Be aware you will not win every battle BUT you will win the war.

I am disappointed for myself, because I was really enjoying your Bible journaling. That said, I am thrilled to see you following God’s leading in your life. What a courageous thing you have done in letting go something that was once so important in your life. May God bless you and use you for His purposes!

WOW! This is only the 2nd video I have watched of yours! Just found you tonight!!!??!!! and subscribed! What is SO "strange", or should I say PROVIDENTIAL?? is that for about a yr.+ I have been wondering about stopping crafting!!! Mostly my card making and journal making g. Maybe just do gluebooks. This is SOOO strange I should hear this tonight. My health has changed drastically over the last 3 yrs. Able to do less and less (auto-immune disease and hard recoveries from surgery. I am 73 now, a christian. I have SOOOO much invested in supplies and am not able to sell any of it. I feel guilty about that because it was the Lord's money. I have lost my desire and interest. I HAVE donated tons, lots brand new. I keep hanging onto the rest. My apt. is too small .I miss a" normal" livingrm. because it is my craftroom. I would like a nice, uncluttered, calm, place to read, bible study and just think! Make it physically easier for myself. I feel like the Lord spoke to me through you. I hope you see this so you can know the Lord spoke through you to another. Thank you. I DID like your art!🙂🤗

You will be missed! I cut my crafting supplies in half last time I moved and I still have an overwhelming amount. It's a hard decision to just let everything go --- let go, and let God as they say! Best wishes as you move forward.

I stand with you in prayer for your journey ahead. It takes courage to make those big changes. Maybe you won't be doing any more crafting but you can still do some Bible journaling. Go deeper in your relationship with Him and your reward will be a greater faith and trust in Him. I've been Journal making for 7 years. I will be 70 next month and I have wanted to get rid of it all and stop crafting so many times but when I think about what I would do with my thousands of dollars of craft supplies it always stops me from quitting. With my health it would be so difficult to pack everything up, find people to give it to, deliver it to thrift stores or church Sunday School programs. Our main living room is my craft so as soon as you walk in the front door you see all the clutter. I'll sign up for swaps once in awhile or do a mass make of 40 quick envelope tucks but then I might sit for a week or two and do nothing. I think I do have the passion for it but I don't have the physical strength for it. Your video has inspired me to at least start going through everything and get rid of what I absolutely don't use. Who needs 500 pieces of scrap paper? Right! 🦋💙
