You are right! I remember doing this in grade school. I just can’t figure out how to perfect it on the gel press plate. It never dawned on me to try it like this.

Why would not you clean your brayer on the cardstock to use for your next masterpiece? Very nice results. I, too, like making my own background, especially if I'm inspired by some image and my imagination runs wild, you know what I mean. Vicky Papaioannou is fabulous at it with her mixed media journals. Take a look, you will pick up a thing or two.

When I have cleaned my sprayer on a scratch piece of paper or on the next piece of paper that I’m going to use, it does not entirely get it clean because there’s no cushion of the gel press under it.
