I know alot of people stated that how could Brenda be mad at Dylan when she was with Rick in Paris..that is every true..but Brenda told Dylan about it when she got back and she gave him the chance to tell her and then on top of that it was with her best friend..but if you ever notice that Dylan actual dated Brenda..they went places and did things...Kelly was always at Dylan's house either kissing or making out..just goes to show which one had the better romance...

He didn’t have to tell her about Kelly, he could have gotten away with telling Brenda that he had a chance to think she while she was away and it was best they have a break, things have gotten too intense. Then the whole Kelly thing could have happened more organically. But he instead chose to go back and forth between them. Truth is, he went to whoever could give him what he needed at any given time.

You are right but the thing is Kelly was not some girl he met in the summer, she was Brenda’s best friend, they both were supposed to love Brenda and they hurt her. I think that it must be really shitty that your best friend, the one you tell everything about your life including details of your relationship with your boyfriend goes behind your back and falls in love with him, it’s like a huge betrayal, a friend is much more than a boyfriend because boys come and go but good friends are supposed to always have your back. It’s very shitty because they somehow outcast Brenda since Steve, Donna and Kelly were already friends, Dylan knew them since kids, so when they betrayed Brenda she had only one option, to accept it otherwise she would not have had a social life because no one would choose her side, Brandon and Andrea wanted to fit in and they all loved Brandon so the only one that lost was Brenda, she lost her boyfriend and her gang because they were never friends to her.

While I agree this is a show, in real life young people tend to 'forgive' like Brenda. Why? In such matters, it is always the 'winner' versus 'loser' situation. The loser (Brenda), has a choice of accepting the winners (Kelly and Dylan) or losing their circle of friends, like Brandon, Donna, Steve, Kelly and Dylan. If Brenda kept on whining about what they did-- pouting and acting snarky every time she sees them, the circle of friends, possibly even her brother Brandon, will eventually distance themselves from Brenda, as she'll be seen as being too bitter, whiny and 'no fun.' While she may get a shred of sympathy from these 'friends,' they will still ask, nay TELL Brenda to 'just get over it.' After all, the rest of the friends are not the ones hurt and they see it as their none of their business to get involved in. Brenda, therefore made the painful choice to forgive or at least show an outward impression of forgiveness, so as not to lose her brother and their circle of friends. For high schoolers and even college kids, having a circle of friends is most important. In some episodes Brenda did have bitterness and did show her true feelings from time to time but always pulled back, to keep the harmony within the circle of friends. Notice folks, that once people leave college, they are less forgiving of such affairs and have no problems cutting off the cheaters, even if it means losing some friends in the process. As people get older, they value dignity, self-respect, peace of mind and justice, more than having friends to laugh or hang out with. Adults tend to realize that such 'friends' are not worth it, if they prefer someone who hurt you. P.S. those who would argue that Brandon will support his sister, I say: My foot. Remember, he expressed little sympathy for Brenda and accepted Kelly and Dylan's relationship. This is also the same Brandon who later stole Kelly from Dylan and actually had the audacity to lecture Dylan to just 'get over it.' while one may argue that this is karma, how gross is it to be with Kelly who has been with your sister's boyfriend?

No. That's a lie. The whole Dylan and Kelly thing was a fucking mess. To sleep with your best friend's boyfriend is the worst thing anybody can do. Dylan always loved Brenda. Brenda put up with his shit all the fucking time. When he had that accident Brenda was there, his drug problem Brenda was there. Hell even when his father died two episodes after he dumped Brenda for Kelly, Brenda was there for him. Kelly was nowhere to be found. Throughout season 4, Kelly and Dylan constantly fought every episode mostly due to Dylan's commitment to Brenda ad his need to look out for her. In season 5, when Dylan was going through his drug problem, the person he constantly mentioned was Brenda. Kelly was just the slut in the relationship.
