The trailer sold me, this film will be a worthy chapter to the beloved franchise. What made the original two movies work so well is the unique blend of unusual buddy comedy, fish-out-of-water comedy, and straight cop action. Thankfully they have retained the same tone and narrative for this sequel. This looks cool. Calling it now Kevin Bacon will be revealed as the real villain of the piece but he’s masquerading as head the LAPD.

Yep, takes you right back to that original backseat car door slam surprise Axel Foley style of saying hello ; ) It's really a perfect setup & camera combo to let the three of them riff freely. I mean at least with their words and faces, obviously your physically limited in what you can do sitting down in a car. Of course they won't be Bouncing off the walls at this point in their lives. Ha, me neither. I'm ready for this flick. I hope they can bring back more of the old magic they once had together : )

The trailer sold me, this film will be a worthy chapter to the beloved franchise. What made the original two movies work so well is the unique blend of unusual buddy comedy, fish-out-of-water comedy, and straight cop action. Thankfully they have retained the same tone and narrative for this sequel. This looks cool. Calling it now Kevin Bacon will be revealed as the real villain of the piece but he’s masquerading as head the LAPD.

@@jamdad13 so many good films been released by Netflix Ryan Reynolds red notice and Adam project and spirited all can't be bought on dvd or Blu-ray. I had to watch them on kodi a dodgy streaming service. Why can't Amazon and Netflix and Apple TV and all the rest just stream official films and bring films like this back to the cinema and dvd and Blu-ray. Netflix films should have only been short term over lockdown.

The character Douglas Todd who was axel folley's Supervisor was my mother's real life Lieutenant in Detroit Police Department back in those days. When the production team was touring the city for the movie they liked him so much they wrote him into the movie. His name WAS Gill Hill. I hope they do his character justice

If they do his character justice, then that would mean he would be in jail for all of the corrupt things he did while working in law enforcement in real life such as being on a drug dealer's payroll, covering up murders, etc. The FBI doesn't come after you repeatedly if you're not doing anything wrong, and they came after him a lot.
