Beware Beecraigs Boardwalk! Beecraigs MTB with Kat / Lothians MTB / Scotland MTB

Had a great laugh out at Beecraigs Country Park with Kat even though it was extremely wet, constantly raining on and off.
We had a double crash on some stupendously slippy boardwalk which was funny and painful at the same time. The roots were also very slimy which made the trails far more difficult than they are in the dry- all good fun though.

Great video mate, super nice trails, but very wet and slippery, the slides on the wood bridge were excellent, but I hope you didn't hurt yourself. You did a great job. Thanks for the adventure and keep up the good work. Ride on and have a nice week🤙

Looks like you need ice spikes for those wooden sections. Trouble is the cheap chicken wire they used doesn't last two minutes. Glad you guys didn't get too hurt. Thanks for filming, Andy

Remember first time trying that boardwalk in wet on old bike - took a wrong turn, went flying off boardwalk, over the bars and faceplanted! 💥🤣 Haven't been to Beecraigs in ages, thanks for sharing 😁🤙

Sounded like a sore one! The board walk is definitely dodgy in the wet.

ah man, I felt that front wheel go from under you on the boardwalk. 🤕 Happened to me in Mugdock Country Park on a section with no chicken wore at all. Lesson learned, go slow, never brake on the turns! - looks like Beecraigs is a great wee place for a spin around on sunday afternoon😀 (I got myself one of those yellow pump action power wash bottles too from Millets last year for £20! worth it to get the worst of muck off the bike before going home). 👍

Cheers mate, it is a good place for a spin. There are some really fun features dotted about the place too, drops and rocky sections. The skills park it great fun. Just avoid all the wooden features if its been raining!🤣🤣 The chicken wire was worn away right where you need it and the long boardwalk where we both crashed has some squares of nonslip material on it but not along the whole thing for some reason. Definitely no braking on it as you say. Still a good laugh. 🤣🤣🤙🤙Thanks for watching mate.

Done the same thing on that boardwalk section, it's lethal when wet, still not great in the dry😁

It was ridiculously slippy that day- as you say totally lethal. Love the skills park there though, it's great fun 👍
