I think I only came across a beetle gate once ever, as uncommon as it is I still feel like its an important thing to understand, if utilized it can greatly increase one's odds of winning.

Great video Randy! Quick rule question, if there was only one beetle on the 2nd layer next to the pillbug, would that still restrict the pillbug from moving a piece through it (since it wouldn’t be able to slide?)

As far as I know you need 2 beetles to create a beetle gate atop the hive, so if there's only one it doesn't hamper any movements right?

@@antasatibal Yes, you are correct. The Beetle Gate only occurs when two stacks (2+ pieces) form the gate.
