@@iaintoncrack First off... I'm not an "Old head." Secondly, you MIGHT want to use your GOOGLE MACHINE and do a little research, before making such ASININE statements. I have a homework assignment for you... Try watching Earth, Wind and Fire, The Spinners, Lena Horne, The Emotions, Dorothy Dandridge, Nina Simone, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Tina Turner, Prince, Whitney Houston, The Debarge Family, Full Force, The Force MD's, The Clark Sisters, Teddy Pendergrass, Little Richard, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight and The Pips, Diana Ross, James Brown, The Jackson 5, The Temptations... Just to name a few! Oh, I'm just scratching the surface! All of these LEGENDARY PIONEERS of music commanded stages around the world through vocals, stage presence and overall performance. They literally laid the groundwork for EVERYTHING Beyonce is doing today. So to discredit their BLACK EXCELLENCE by saying they are less than her is outright laughable. She's able to do what she does BECAUSE OF THEM!!!! And this is coming from a person who is more than likely younger than YOU!!! Try reading a book my friend... Education is a great thing! 😉👌🏾

@@SEFYH Again… not hearing what I’m saying. Out of all those groups you mentioned, think about all the ones we DONT remember. Do you know how many dupes of the supremes or the o’jays there were that had maybe one hit and vanished?? The reason we remember those groups is because they were the BEST OF THE BEST. Mind you, a lot of the artists you just named didn’t even dance live! It takes a lot of concentration to sing to that caliber. Of course Beyoncé drew inspiration from these groups, but to perform choreo AND still be on key? About 6 groups/singers you just named could do that. Old heads love to discredit the talent of today just because they see the inspiration from the past like it’s a lesser version somehow. You can have old head mentality and still be young lmao

@@oxtailsan9681 Amerie wasn't the originator of any style. GTFOH. Rich Harrison was thé producer. That was HIS sound not Amerie. Y'all Amerie stans are delusionnal and shoul've buy her records. Put your money where your mouth is 🤷🏾♂️ 😜. Rich Harrison produced for Mary J Blige (1998) before Amerie abd also produced "Can't Nobody" on Kelly Rowland solo debut (2002). Amerie's début All I Have sounds nothing like that heavy go go sound she later on did with One Thing or Touch in 2005. One Thing was following the blueprint of Crazy in Love which came out in 2003 two WHOLE earlier. Rich Harrison himself with his own mouth said that Beyoncé was the only person who was interested by Crazy in Love and took the risks of bringing back horns, live instruments into mainstream popular music with a 1974 sample of "Are you My Woman" by The Chi-lites. Rich Harrison only produced two tracks on Dangerously, which are CIL and Be With You with a Bootsy Collins sample and then deep cuts tracks on B'Day in 2006 (Sugar Mama, Freakum) Dress) This is the timeline Crazy in Love (2003) Usher's Ride (2004) Amerie's One Thing (2005) Jennifer Lopez's Get Right (2005) Toni Braxton's Take This Ring (2005) The Pussicat Dolls I Don't Need A Man (2005)
@jaysmith993324 күн бұрын
@@oxtailsan9681thats false. Beyonce did it first and Amerie copied once Rich's go-go sound blew up thanks to CIL's popularity. Working with Rich first doesn't mean Amerie did that sound first, Rich Harrison also did Soldier by DC and that sounds nothing like CIL or 1 Thing, but I guess since she worked with Rich first "Soldier" was also stealing "Amerie's sound" too. Amerie's first album was all ballads and mid tempos, and her image was more "girl next door" not the more glamorous in your face showgirl image with the big band that she later adapted and that Bee was already owning way back in this performance. Amerie wasn't doing none of it till 2005. There's a reason why in reviews her image and sound with 1 Thing was considered a complete reinvention from her debut era her back then. Besides CIL was the only Rich song on Bees debut album, no two of her four singles from.her debut had the same sound and they were all bigger hits than anything single Amerie released. Bee was. ust THAT girl back then and Amerie was not. Her success wasn't reliant on one sound sqys a lot about Amerie that she apparently had no kind of value or versatillity outside of the style that she did not orginate.
