I like how you said everything she does has a purpose. Notice how during Garys verse at 6:32 he gives her a signal a "HA" to indicate to her that he had forgotten the next line and she steps in to give him a trigger and then he takes control again. She is the ultimate professional in terms of her artistry. I wouldnt be surprised if she recruited him last minute and therefore built in this safeguard in case he faltered :)

You’re all the way loud and wrong. Gary is the one who forgot his lyrics since it was his verse to perform. That’s why she took the second verse as practiced in the rehearsal. It seems you don’t have the details straight at all. Just when Ed Sheeran sang one verse, & she took the second. Similarly, with Gary, why would you expect her to jump in during his cue?

Beyoncé is a cut above, because to your point, she can sing WITH others and not overpower them, even though she has the ability. It's a matter of vocal control some powerful singers simply don't have.

You have to use you diaphragm to growl properly not just your throat! Most singers that growl do it by making their vocal cords tight and it’s very bad ! The growl/squalls should come from the chest, nice and supported almost without engaging the throat ! If you learn to do it you will feel that it’s completely different
