Just had a chance to listen to the whole thing after catching the tail end of the premier. This is absolutely amazing. It really goes on such a journey. Loved that repetitive bass line that was almost hypnotic. Everything about this was perfect.
@stateazure5 жыл бұрын
Cheers, Cameron. The bass is my favourite part, the whole thing began with the bass, as I was trying out my brand new Clep Diaz and used it to modulate Shapeshifter and this bass just popped out of nowhere! It inspired the rest of the track. Glad you enjoyed it :)
@shadowfall28235 жыл бұрын
@@stateazure What is the Clep Diaz doing? I looked that module up and it's very interesting and seems powerful for how small (and relatively cheap) it is.
@stateazure5 жыл бұрын
@@shadowfall2823 Yeah it's very well priced I think. I had it modulating Shape 1 on the Shapeshifter with its bipolar output and modulating Filter8 with the unipolar. Now they're just like LFOs, but the clock in and reset inputs along with the steps make it crazy musical and rhythmical. Check out Ricky Tinez's demo with the Clep Diaz, it does a really good job of showing it off when patching different clocks/resets.
@shadowfall28235 жыл бұрын
@@stateazure Definitely looks like a must-have for that functionality, price, and small hp. A used one would likely be under $100 US. Thanks for the detail! :)
@stateazure5 жыл бұрын
@@shadowfall2823 It's one of those modules for me that turned out way better than expected. So I definitely recommend keeping your eyes out for one :) I even thought about buying two, but then I realised I could actually make my Voltage Block do something very similar/if not the same thing, it's just not as immediate as the Clep.

Probably a dumb question, but I am dumb to modular; how is this sequenced? I am making an assumption not all of it is generative. Beautiful music man, subscribed.
@stateazure4 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Stephen. Really appreciate the comment and sub! You're correct, not too much generative stuff going on here, except for maybe a single voice and of course the modulation where I tend to use quite a bit of random/S+H etc. The primary sequencer is the Five 12 Vector for most of the musical stuff, NerdSeq for drum/percussion sequencing.
