Thanks John and Fill for bringing up this question. Speaking from my own experience, mental belief has never worked for me. Only my direct experience brought the true knowing, clear answers to any questions and much more. To me, the belief of any kind is just a mental concept, it's usually comes from logical, practical mind that rises from ego-mind system. In my lifelong experience it's automatic, machine like, not alive. I'm like John, I trust the the deeper invisible knowledge that rises from Aliveness, Nature, from this Everlasting Breathing, Living, Expending reality. Every time I experience the alive Presence, I feel safe, at ease, calm knowing in my whole being being included, being loved, being cared for. So the trust comes naturally, tenderly, kindly unfolding in this Presence. Being in this state, I don't care about the mental concepts, about mental approaches, and labels.

Hi Liubov Now - I personally agree with you " belief of any kind is just a mental concept," It seems to me belief is an appeal to the mind about things it cannot know. Like you I prefer direct experience. That's why I meditate. Phil

Just to say "I believe" is just words. For myself, I came to understand attitude and actions of my experiences seeking GOD, as well as trying to love my neighbor as myself...this is evidence showing my belief. Anybody can say they believe, but show me the works produced from a believing heart. Otherwise, "I believe" are empty words. Thank you both for doing these videos. I was with a group of patriots, and as we went around the table and introduced ourselves, every single person, to a man, introduced themselves as "my name is so-and-so, and I'm a lawyer (or teacher, or real estate salesman, or doctor, or whatever). When it was my turn I pointed out that they all introduced themselves as their VOCATION, not who they really are. I said "I'm a child of God".

I believe this man is one of the most enlightened people I ever seen. And at the same time, he claims to know so little. I really admire that, its funny to have people ask him almost unanswerable questions, and he just gives such amazing responses. You know? He just feels, and understands. Don't ask so many questions, don't talk, don't think, just be still. Its a beautiful mindset :)

“An electron coming to rest”- I could get very technical about the science behind this, but in essence he is summing up chemistry/biology/life... that everything seeks stability. Stability in a chemical sense means to exert no more energy than what is necessary and to take a form which is the least likely to be destroyed (least reactive). This scientist is saying that life is driven by its tendency to seek order. That’s my interpretation, at least.

Yes, we are souls of courage willing to be born in a world of sacrifice merely for the experience. In the end, we awaken to the reality of our essence. We enter the realization that we inevitably transform, transition, resurrect and ascend back to Heaven; the epitome of love, light, eternal life, stillness, happiness, peace and freedom where unity and royalty awaits our return home. I can't wait!🙏

hi john! this was a fantastic video, but something i would've also enjoyed is if you went deeper into john 3:16 in the beginning of the video. the word you all focused on was "belief," which is an important subject, but at the moment i am interested in "only." i grew up a fundamentalist dogmatic christian, grew out of that, and rediscovered spirituality later through buddhism, hindu, and eventually contemplative/mystical christianity. so, verses like john 3:16 tend to rub me the wrong way, specifically because they seem to make jesus the person into the end-all be-all sole required aspect of life for all people, in order to receive salvation. i see salvation more like enlightenment or awakening or realization, but i have a hard time reconciling the way some verses are worded. i suspect it was the editing and skewing that happened over time, when institutions chose to spin the bible in certain directions to support industry, government, authority, etc. i now understand what jesus meant when he said "i am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the father except through me," but what does john 3:16 really mean? what is it saying about jesus the person, in relation to "me," the individuated soul? what does this claim mean, that jesus was god's "only" begotten son? i understand that "the son of" means "of the nature of." but i cannot get past the word "only." if john is unable to answer this, i welcome anyone to give their insight. thanks!!

Everything we know about the emergence of consciousness in the brain tells us that spiritual experience of "the infinite" is an artefact of the mind. Which means: this experience does not need to depend on a larger spiritual being out there. But the reality is even crazier: our deepest spiritual experiences emerge from tangible matter itself. Complex arrangements of matter can become self-aware and even generate spiritual experiences out of themselves. That to me is a bigger, crazier story than any religion.

Best ASMR voice ever yeah, I'll give him that. Very enjoyable to listen to. Really not a fan of the questions this interviewer asks in any of the videos I've seen with him and John. It's like he brings out the awkward and ramble from John. The interviews by Iain McNay are much better. They don't leave John raving on a bunch of mumbo jumbo. Also the audio editing is just useless.

I can relate to the love spoken of. As love it self going of my experience. Is of course a different style or kind of love to the one that god or Jesus could ever show us, compared to our human love. We can only ever portrait a love with a measurement. But what if a love that exists that is truly beyond measurements. As an example when i was 4 years old i had a vision of Jesus Christ. He came to me and talked to me. But the whole time in his presence the love and peace i experienced was that which flooded me to the point there was nothing else there but just that beautiful feeling radiating threw every part of me. To this day i have never felt something like this a love so pure it radiated threw me into a trance of peace and happiness. The most i come to that kind of love is the love i have for my family how ever it is a mankind love the love i experienced with Jesus was a mankind love but along side a higher true love one that was in fact unmeasured infinity. Almost like it could not run out. Now as I'm alot older i wonder if that amount of love if experienced would in fact set a man into not being to handle it once again. as you get older its harder to pure love everything as you once did as a child as you have seen so much ill and evil its hard to just let them go?

Thank you, Pollo. Most certainly, immeasurable love exists, for you, yourself have had a taste, and remember it to this day. The fact that we fall away into lesser 'human' experience and forget what we once knew, doesn't negate it. You handled it once, with peace and happiness - why not again? Finding it harder as we get older, just emphasizes the importance of good practice when we're young.

yes I guess your right and as I ruminate around that thought process I can truly see that it makes sense of a higher standard. as I never once sat down and emptied my thoughts or as you put it sit and be still. which I see now. it is a key to unlock a higher sense. I'm doing a form of meditation called micbt (mindfulness - integrated - cognitive -behavior therapy ) it has re opened my eyes and helped with just sitting still and empty my mind so that I can be closer with the spiritual side of my existence. however all these hard work sessions I have gone threw just made me aware of all the crap we jam in our heads all unnecessary items floating about. used to pull you away from the simple things you actually need to live. it distracts you from the good in life and concerns you on the hard, the fears, the pain and the difficult paths you MUST go down. all for the future however the future is ever changing so you cant live in it or worry about it and the past is unchangeable so what is left but the present. but by the time you find your self in the present you are filled with doubt and all your thoughts. from before the future also past that its hard to make a clear path in your mind to release everything and spend time with the still or rest. this is why I don't know if I will ever be treated with the love I was treated with all thous years ago. but I feel sad that not many people do feel or experience that level of love in their life. which of course saddens me quite some. I wonder how it is that I could show my family the same love jesus showed to me... but how is it possible that 'one' could reach that level with out first making the transformation into a spiritual being. and please call me Logan. 'pollo' is just my screen name.

Why do we as humans want to analyse, formulate and structure? Is it not God/Stillness that form has evolved ? To me from my observations, it seems to be an innate aspect of God/Stillness to evolve in to form and as a consequence, we then have inherited that aspect and use it in our daily lives.
