I’m very grateful for all these videos, would just like to point out that many people use ASMR to get to sleep, and the volume of the music at the end of video will probably wake people up. I like to listen to John to help get to sleep when I’m anxious, so falling asleep while listening doesn’t take away from the importance of his message, rather it gives me perspective and more calm so I can sleep. Thank you 🙏🏻

I've had what I'd call a couple of "spiritual experiences" in my life, however apart from a few good books over the years I've never really learnt a lot about the subject of which you speak. 12 months ago I lost my mum and only since then through watching people like yourself and Eckhart Tolle do I learn how simple it all is. Most of the time I "forget" to be present and aware, but when I do re-member, everything becomes nice, even if just for a moment. You make it so clear that all this is so simple. Thank You. 🙏

The Secret To Enlightenment There's a reason, why we feel close to others and ourselves, when we cry. Because the tears are our united souls. Crying and sadness unites us all. From the day we are born, we all are able to cry. The only thing that makes us one, are our tears. And the mind, is the only thing that separates us. But we need to learn, how to cry with our minds. That is the characteristic of a cleansed and a pure mind. I hope this word "Anyway", guides you in being able to cry in your mind. You can become everything, that is an obstacle and thus, you can overcome it through "Anyway". Doubts, fears, guilt, pain, suffering, evil inside can be obstacles. "Become it. Overcome it." when you become, what you want to overcome, you overcome, what you want to become. Anyway is the way to become and to overcome anything. Making you able to cry with your mind. Crying is like feeling with it. Same as your soul. You don't get to cry in the soul by exclusive concentration on the heart area, but by actually feeling your crying intention, to which you always have access to. And crying in your body, whenever the tears choose to come. Not forced but accepted. And the fact that we all can cry, is the fact, that there is goodness in everyone. Even the most evil ones, possess sadness and are able to cry. And therefore we are all linked to God. From the tear, everything is born in us. And I cry every moment, because I realized, that it is pure goodness and Godhood in an individual. Water is pure goodness. And when we die, we die a deathless death. Because water, the source of life and our being cannot die, as long as we are able to cry. This is actually the secret to enlightenment, which should not be passed on. But when you understand, that you and me are same in our united tears and souls, this secret is no secret. But that is the point in which it is a secret. Not everyone knows that we are one like water and that we are it. And that we contain everything in the universe. To end this, I quote the movie V For Vendetta: "God is in the rain.".
This is necessary, life feeds on life,feeds on life,feeds on life....

He speaks the words of the Lord, I can feel it, I can sense it. It makes one wonder, what is the purpose of mankind. Why do we take so much from the world, when most of what we take is not needed. Is it to make us feel successful in our own minds my Dear Lord?

I think John has demonstrated better than anyone else that it really doesn't matter exactly what you call your spiritual beliefs as much as just practicing them. That it all entales the same thing - detachment. Sin, karma, duality, what goes around comes around - all different names for the same thing, and that is how we feed the never ending cycle of that which is non-consistent, that which expires and ends, or as John says "comes to pass". The mantra of science is math. Mathematics is the be-all end-all. Regardless if we talk about energy, matter, thought, action... math is always the basic factor. The universe is one big equation, and what do all equations have in common? They need to reach zero. This is where spiritual teachers like John come in, because no matter where they originate, they relay the same often forgotten message - the only way to actually reach zero, is to remove yourself from said equation. Thank you John. Thank you for reminding me.

I would like to observe that it seems many of the long pauses that occur when John speaks appear to have been edited out. To me that is detrimental. Those pauses are not a waste of time that must be gotten past to get back to the spoken words, and thus to be dispensed with. They are an integral part of what John is communicating. Some of the most profound moments in his talks take place during and through those silences. I would like to see them remain and not be edited out.

You caught that, too? Thank God for "go-to" phrases. Without them, he's got nothing. He spins those googly eyes, as if he's wondering whether or not his audience is actually buying into that gibberish. Notice how the interviewer sometimes jumps in, to decipher a profound thought? Lazy, slurred speech, half of which doesn't make sense, trying too hard to be clever. And that God-awful lip smacking.... you'd swear he was slurping on a giant lollipop. Despite what I've said... I don't hate the guy. Just find him to be pretentious, and using religion to make money. Spiritual unfoldment? C'mon man. Better off going to church, instead of wasting your life... meditating about "how to waste your life... thinking". Don't forget to buy his book.

I’ve been curious as to in what context John’s grandfather would tell him “feet on the ground”? Does a tendency for spirituality run in the family or was it referring to something more practical?
@butchcoolidge24452 жыл бұрын
This term is generally used to mean don't get carried away. A basic example would be if someone was to become famous or successful, a parent or elder may say "keep your feet on the ground", reminding you not to get carried away or take things too far. I don't think spirituality ran in his family. His dad used to refer to his spirituality as 'mystical nonsense'. The ecclesiastical teachings John was exposed to were institutionalised I.e. compulsory Chapel and scripture lessons at school.
