Beyond Expectations: Tesla Model Y RWD Long Range 2024 Surpasses WLTP Range Projections!
Prepare to embark on an electrifying journey as we unveil the latest marvel from Tesla: the Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive 2024. Europeans now have an array of options to choose from, and this newest variant stands out as a game-changer in the world of electric vehicles.
With an impressive WLTP range of 600 km, the Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive strikes the perfect balance between affordability and performance. It boasts a single motor design paired with an energy-dense battery pack, a standard heat pump, and low resistance tires, resulting in exceptional efficiency with only 14.9 kWh/100 km energy consumption. This sets a new standard for cost per kWh in the electric SUV market, making sustainable driving more accessible than ever before.
But it's not just about range - the Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive encompasses everything that propelled its predecessors to become the world's best-selling cars in 2023. From premium materials to advanced safety features, convenience, and connected technologies, this vehicle sets a new benchmark in its class.
Let's delve into some highlights:
Premiumness: The Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive offers the same level of luxury and advanced features found in all other Model Y vehicles, including premium audio, vegan leather upholstery, and acoustic glass for a serene driving experience.
Convenience and Connectivity: Drivers can control their vehicle remotely through the Tesla app, enabling features such as Schedule Departure, pre-heating or cooling, Dog Mode, Sentry Mode, and intuitive route planning for peace of mind during travel.
Range Assurance: With the most extensive range of any Model Y variant, the built-in Trip Planner guides drivers to optimal charging stops using Tesla's vast Supercharger network. This network, comprising over 14,000 Superchargers across 1,200 European locations, ensures rapid and reliable charging on the go.
Safety: The Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive upholds Tesla's reputation for safety, boasting the same advanced features that earned it top marks in Euro NCAP testing. With a leading score of 98 percent in the Safety Assist category, this vehicle offers unparalleled peace of mind on the road.
Efficiency lies at the heart of the Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive, achieved through a holistic approach to design, software development, and manufacturing. Tesla's vertically integrated approach allows for precise control over every aspect of the vehicle, from the power-dense motor and heat pump technology to the energy-dense battery pack and custom low rolling resistance tires.
Incorporating over-the-air software updates, the Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive continues to evolve and improve, ensuring that drivers experience the latest advancements in electric vehicle technology.
Discover a new era of sustainable driving with the Model Y Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive - where innovation meets efficiency, and performance knows no bounds.

Hi, the test was interesting, even if it was almost always done at a low average speed, due to the speed limits imposed in Switzerland, it's true that you did a lot of ups and downs but I wish you could do them on the motorway to check how much of those 614 km would be feasible, I think it wouldn't work, with the limit at 120, over 380-400 km, however I continue to follow you because your tests are always interesting

I want to have 800 km range, so I can easily travel 500 km with my speed and all the available extras and when I get to the final destination to charge it. To skip the public chargers and just to charge at home.

Hy again. I have a question that will help me decide which tesla to buy, SR LFP or LR NMC? I am comparing the usable battery capacity while keeping the battery healthy. So: 1. SR LFP can be charged 20-100% so 80% of 66kwh. That is 52.8kwh. 2. LR NMC can be charged 20-80% so 60% of 75kwh. That is 45kwh. Why should we buy a LR instead of a SR if we are going to take care of the battery? With a consumption of 130wh/km usable range would be 430km on SR LFP, compared to 346 on LR NMC. 83km less range of usable battery. When do you think we would see LR LFP and why it is not yet on the market. The NMC is clearly outdated. What is the weight difference between LFP and NMC? How heavy would be a LR LFP 75kw?
@SDADanCars

If you do long trips often LR is better because you have more range… but if you drive most of time in city LFP is perfect…. NMC is more dense and lighter

Driving without AC is not real life material (I could see in minute 43 you were sweaty with sweat drops on the top of your forehead- zoom in). You didn’t mention any off this. 2. As a fellow Romanian, I found it quite annoying how you spell the most used word in this vlog: “consumption” ( “u” is spelled “A”, NOT “U”). As I said, very annoying… Hope you find this feedback critically positive to the best improvement possible in the near future vlogs. Respect for your hard work and thanks again for your professionalism! P.S. I am planning to buy a tesla this year. In a 5 Series or an E Class with AC ON you wouldn’t stop to rest so often, and you know it! We are asking for 800-1000 km so that ICE cars will be over. I personally want electric, but they are not there yet, nit far away thought. If tesla had the seats of a 5 Series and range off 800, then it would be game over! My humble opinion from a fellow Romanian, wishing you all the best and all the improvement in the world!

@lukabosnjak3829 if you will charge an electric car only on supercharger, be sure you will have to pay quite a bit, allmost as I pay for a 6-7L/100 km consumption. Plus battery degradation. So it is not everything so amazing as it seems to be. Wait to see the depreciation of the car. I have a 2011 Passat that drives really good for its age. I want to keep it until I see it is not worth it.

@@andreiapostu most people only charge at superchargers a few times a year, during long trips. most of the time you charge at home or at lower cost AC stations (at work or during shopping). Also diesels are about to be banned form cities (and for good reasons), so an EV is a more appropriate real life car in most scenarios. Plus you have instant torque, silence and next to 0 maintenance.

They will also refresh it at the end of year …. They just add a new option battery motor … plus better seats
