Beyond Fitness Ep. 2 | Childhood Obesity Series - My school experience

In this episode, we will be discussing the struggles I personally faced as a child who struggled with obesity. These are the daily struggles I experienced from bullying to trying to function in a world that wasn't created for kids my size. We discuss ways that I learned to cope with the traumas and how this experience ultimately shaped who I became as an adult. Stay tuned for episode 3 where we talk about home life, my first experience with dieting, and some advice I would give to parents today to help their child develop healthy habits without making them feel ashamed and embarrassed.

Someday soon I will share my childhood obesity story and bullying experiences with you both and explain how you both helped me realize where a lot of my bitterness and holdbacks we're coming from and how I was using that to unknowingly at the time basically bully others. I am proud to say that today I am a changed person! But soon I'll share what lead me to go down the path that I was on and why it took so long to see what I was doing to others and myself.
