BG&E was one of those rare instances where every critic/reviewer was begging people to play this game, but few listened. Those who did were rewarded with a very awesome game. I remember thinking wow every review is good, maybe I should try it. So glad I did am beyond ready for BG&E2.

I copied something for you from an interview with Verge: ~Ancel says that 2018 is too early to expect the game’s release, though he hopes to have a new version of Beyond Good & Evil 2 ready for E3 next year, which will be “as close as possible to the trailer.” Three years ago they started working on the technology that would power the experience - it started out as a kind of solar system simulation tool - and only recently have they started actually building the game. “When you don’t have this technology, you can’t really start the game,” Ancel explains. “It’s too difficult. But now we can say for sure that we will make this game, we’ll finish it. Because we have the technology for it.” He describes the game’s current status as “day zero of development.”~ If they really work hard from now on, it could be finished in 3 years. But I think it probably takes a while.

It's really beutiful, and look open and gorgeouse.... But we have to face facts here,it's really looking good, but not the reason we wanted Beyond good and evil 2. We wanted to see the end of Jade's journer, we wanted to see how is Paj'e after the ending. This is the reason we wanted the sequel. It's beutiful and looks like alot of fun, but it's not Beyond Good And Evil. We waited for the sequel, not for the prequel. I will still buy it, But we want Jade.And less cursing, because it's a little bit too much.

Part of me thinks that they chose a more mature tone so people would'nt look at it and assume it's a game aim at the child audience. Because the first game did have that e for everyone vibe about and it probably wouldn't do well in today's market. But what if they deliver all this... AND an amazing single player story that you can dip into and out of at will, that reveals more of Jade and Peyj's stories. That would be a perfect blend of what we loved about part one while embracing the possibilities that come along with 20 years of advancing technology! I think Michel Ancel loves those characters too. I trust he will not allow them or their legacy to be wiped from the game.

I think it's to appeal to the modern day gaming community where people act like they can't say one sentence without swearing in it. If this game is too family friendly like the first game was, it might not sell well- then the whole process of them bringing it back would be for nothing. I was fine with the swearing, i was fine about it being a prequel but this isn't Beyond Good & Evil at this point. This just feels like a completely new overly ambitious IP with BGE name slapped onto it to relaunch the franchise to today's market of gamers while trying to capitalize of old fans hope. I know exactly how you feel. BG&E has a special place in my heart. The only thing I am keeping hope alive for is that they have not even begun production officially. The original vision for BG&E was nothing like the final product we got when it was released. Alexander Heath I know it's a prequel. I don't like that it has "realistic" graphics. The original had the visuals like WoW or darksiders. It also curses so much. The original didn't do that. It's like they're trying to make it darker. Not every game needs to be darker. I was excited just like every other fan of the first, but they're just trashing the game and trying to appeal to younger kids. "Hey kids our pig character says the 'f' word. Isn't it cool?" Adults don't need that.
