Please everyone be honest with yourselves and Ubisoft for once! the graphics look from 2013 gta v, please don't rush this game make it good and BIG, i rather have this to be released in 2020 for next-gen consoles than have this kind of outdated graphics for current consoles, UBI has the chance to raise the bar in storytelling-graphics in the industry with BGE2, don't rush it and develop a graphic engine that has at least the same level of graphics like the trailer!

The scale of the game truly is massive! ps: Please, just a massive singleplayer experience like old times.. no opening boxes if not for finding some Double Dragon-esque turkey in-game.

The problem is: Online with multiple players continuing buying or offline with happy players. GTA is an example: Can you see anyone saying that it has one of the bests story? (and online in fact now is populated by kids...). They want a miracle, but it will be hard: This game will be explorative and with a gameplay... Now i can't see gameplay but i hope they will make a good work.

Sorry but I don't get your point ? I havn't played GTA V but I heard from gamekult.com that it has a great story and singleplayer. I hoped BGE2 could be the same: a true singleplayer experience. I would rather buy a game knowing it is singleplayer or multiplayer, not a weird mixture of both.

It's not just expanding the universe though, i have no problem with that, the problem i have is that they have changed EVERYTHING. The gameplay, the graphics style, the tone. This could easily pass off as a different game entirely. If it didn't have the name Beyond Good and Evil on it, you wouldn't even know what this game is, that is how little in common it has with the original. You say you are excited because it looks different, but why would you want it to be different ? Surely you want to continue from where the last game left off, not play a totally different game that has nothing in common with the original. I guarantee that if you asked fans if this is what they wanted before seeing the trailer, they would all say no. Another thing i have a problem with is the name. It's not Beyond Good and Evil 2, it's a prequel, how can it be 2 ? And that Monkey is annoying as hell with the worst English accent they could come up with.

I would love to a drop in/drop out mechanic for friends to join. And no mission will be terminated if a friend decides to quit mid-mission, you can still finish it. Also no leveling system, you just getting better in the game could be enough, but you will obviously obtain better guns and stuff. That way if a friend asks you to join a older mission you've already done it would still be a challenge the second time around.

G.G. Gutsfuk I'm not a moron, just realistic. This game is in its Conceptual Phase, and aims to be an interplanetary pirate adventure. Games take a LONG time to develop and I wouldn't be surprised if by the time it is ready, PS5 and Xbox 10 are already out, since PS4/Xbox One were underpowered to begin with and the Switch is a Hybrid which, if at all, will get a HIGHLY watered down version of the game. It might as well come to current gen consoles, they have a big install base after all, but they won't have the best version, mark my words!

I mean I even said that, because of the install base, they're gonna try to push it onto "current gen" consoles for sure, but those won't look as pretty as on the successor consoles. I'd say the earliest the game will come out is 2019, if it's as ambitious as it looks like, who knows how the market will look like then.

Devil's Advocate: is being this open a good thing? At what point does it become like a more pervasive focus group? I suppose it depends on how the devs make use of the feedback, but for example, this video suggests that the crowd might have input into things like character design. Looks like they're basically doing their take on Star Citizen, even in the way it's developed over a long time with the community too, but just with a space pirate theme and the obvious Michel Ancel, French, and Ubisoft look/style/feel to everything. My instinct tells me it about making sure all the extremely hardcore loyal types of gamers get on board to turn this into something huge, with a flourishing community of very dedicated consumers, and ultimately a massive money spinner for them too.

I think parts of Ubisoft is learning that not all games should be cash grabs or you should actually make something you care for and not give up. Siege is a good example of this love for their creation and this is going even further to show that love. Games should be created with passion and a drive to make it good. Not to throw it to the consumer and tempt them into buying something that was either half assed or simply made to make money. Thank you. Now if you'll excuse me. I actually need to play the original before this comes out.

The first Beyond Good and Evil game was enchanting. It had its loose ends and needed some more touches, but the way it showed you through the world was amazing. In BGE 2 I see a very different environment from the first game, but it looks absolutely fantastic nevertheless.

It's hard to see this as a direct sequel to BG&E. Besides the style, there's not a lot they seem to have in common, neither narratively or mechanically. But that's just my initial impression, don't know enough yet. I just hope it gets the basics right, like motivations, mechanic introduction, theme and such. Everything in the first game was not only unique but also finely crafted and interesting, that's what sold it for me. Not just the fact you could beat a shark man at air hocky to win a giant space pearl. Which was great, but you get the idea.
