I’ve stopped watching WNBA because of the poor and bias officiating… somebody is getting a payback for their obvious turn of the head practice.
@rhecoy2007Ай бұрын
Why is that WNBA is not protecting the security of the players from brutal fouls. That’s why Caitlin Clark could shoot well because Carrington intentionally hit the right eye of Caitlin.
@wandex5300Ай бұрын
Probably others mentioned this too. The only way I see to stop the violence is for fans to boycott watching WNBA on TV and buying tickets until the WNBA gets the point.
@reuelvidal8979Ай бұрын
That move was blatantly unnatural and purposely intentional meant to hurt. If you're trying to block the ball you would have moved your hand upward. You don't bring it down and claw at the face of your opponent. Unbelievable that the league is not doing anything. An eye injury would have been career-ending. The worst part for me is that her teammates, and especially her coach don't stand up for her during incidents like this. Remember Chenedy Carter? Diamond De Shields? WTF kind of teammates are these people?
@theWanderersnotebookАй бұрын
Completely agree with your points. Carrington if she was going to block the shot would have kept her hand upward trying to block the trajectory of the shot but she brought her hand down in a move to clearly and intentionally claw at Caitlin’s face. Remember this is the league that has allowed Clark to be on the receiving end of dirty plays all season and they have never stepped in to stop it which makes me think there might be a bounty system out on Caitlin, why else would players have free reign to be overtly aggressive with her and in most cases trying to intentionally injure her? The core of the issue is that Caitlin is on a team that doesn’t have a coach who will protect her team’s rookie and face of the franchise from these attacks and teammates that don’t stand up for her either. I applaud Caitlin for being classy and allowing her game to do the talking but at some point something has got to change in the WNBA if they want to be taken seriously.

The treatment handed out to Clark would be considered racism if she was the one doing it to them.

A flagrant 2 foul should have been called when CC was deliberately poked in the eye. The player committing the foul should have been immediately ejected from the game, suspended, and fined. There is no place for deliberate acts of extreme hate in WNBA games.

A poke in the right eye is the difference between making a logo and missing it. The natural motion is a slap not a raking gouge. It wasn’t unfortunate.

What is wrong with this league. CC has been getting so many hits (intentional), something must be done so more of these ladies do not get hurt. Deal out fines and suspensions.

This is good. I mean, if you think about it, the fever hasn't been in any playoffs for so long. No one is experienced. They are basically starting off with their playoff season slow. Trying to see how the speed goes. How well they need to coordinate and how strong their secondary need to be.

Criminal assault. Caitlin could have been blinded. That was an uncalled flagrant foul.

I’m shocked the ref not calling foul on Caitlin for hitting Edward Scissor hands in her nail. Why are they allowing the thugs to play with their fingernails as weapons.

As far as the game went, the Sun was hot, the Fever was not. Now we'll wonder if the claw to the eyes of Clark by Carrington hurt Clark's focus on the basket.

I see a lot of excuses in the comments for the Fever loss but you aren't going to beat any good team if you can't play defense and the Fever team/coach acts like they have never heard that word before.
@luzsenerpida6062Ай бұрын
So why would resort to hurting intentionally. They're so jealous because they think blacks own the basketball sport. If they're confident they will win, they should stick to playing not intimidating.
@TurnerBrendanАй бұрын
The majority of the Fever players are not top performers, and they didn't anticipate Caitlin's exceptional talent. She truly serves as the glue that holds the team together and often carries them on her back. While there are exceptions like Kelsey Mitchell and a few others whose names escape me at the moment, they don't compare to the more well-rounded teams that have strong players across the board. The disparity between the good and less effective players on the Fever is significantly greater than that seen in other teams.
