Unlike the Bottle Tree that Tabitha used to go to the lighthouse, the one found in the woods by Boyd and Sara wasn't a farway tree. So not all bottle trees are farway trees. The numbers in the Lighthouse were only seen in Tabitha's dream, but there were no numbers when Tabitha climbed the stairrs in the actual lighthouse. Before Dale went into the tree, what do all travels through farway trees had in common? The Boy in White. - The BIW guided Victor and Ethan to the farway tree when Victor made the stone demonstration to Ethan. - The BIW guided Victor to take Julie to the farway tree the night of the Colony House mas... - The BIW guided Sara to the farway tree when Boyd ended up in the dungeon well. - The BIW was expecting Tabitha in the Lighthouse when she went into the "special" farway Bottle Tree. So it's palusible to conclude that the BIW controls the farwasy trees (not numbers), and as Martin told Boyd, "they" (other forces) may caught you on the way after entering into a farway tree. Most likely this special farway Bottle Tree indeed takes you to the Lighthouse only, but it's not meant for anyone and for any purpose due to the lighthouse is a way out. So Dale wasn't suposed to get into this particular tree, and the BIW or other forces sent him to the pool so that all people in town could see it and receive the message.

If you rewatch season 1 episode 1 of from when Jim is driving around with the rv in circles around town look closely when they cross over the railroad each time. The first time there are power lines & and electrical box and the second there aren’t. This may or may not be intentional… just a thought

What i haven't seen is digging into the guy chained on the wall. That is someone currently in the show but much older. I think it's Randall. I think he finally goes back to the chamber and gets captured again. They are using his beard to cover his face where the scar is hidden. This is why he knows Julie and knows she shouldn't be there.

The writers said they hid clues in episode 1 in plain sight. So my theory is that the top of that billboard where the "Star Magic" sign was originally (We saw it in Victor's flashback of the massacre) is actually a secret portal similar to a faraway tree. Where it goes is anyone's guess, but it might be where the children are being locked away. We only ever hear about them being locked in a tower (they weren't at the lighthouse so it has to be somewhere different). I think if you climb through that empty billboard sign at the top, then the "motel" will appear to you similar to Boyd finding Martin in the ruins. If you rewatch Episode 1 at :37 mark- Boyd is ringing the bell walking down the street, the camera zooms in on the bell and the sign is directly behind the bell blurred in the background. 1:28 mark- Closeup shot of the pool as "We got to get out of this place" starts playing on the radio. Slowly zooms up and to the left until the top of the billboard is directly centered... Then quickly changes to next scene. 2:35 mark- Zoom in on the bell once again with the billboard again centered directly behind it. The wires hooked to the inner corners of the Billboard form an X.... X marks the spot? We know that the billboard once had a "Star Magic" sign at the top cause we saw it in Victor's flashback... Which means at some point between then and present day someone went up there and removed both sides of the sign (it's visible from each side). It wasn't something weather related IMO cause the rest of the Billboard is still perfectly in tact. I could be completely wrong, but my theory is the top of that billboard acts similar to a faraway tree where you can climb through and be transported. I believe that place is where the children are being imprisoned. The 1st episode that sign is shown a bunch more... 4:31 mark- Behind Boyd and Kenny 5:49 mark- As Frank's wife and daughter look across the street 6:21 mark- Overhead shot zooms in with sign visible 12:22 mark- Frank walking down the street 21:37 mark- Matthews driving into town 26:43 mark- Matthews driving back into town 26:59 28:50 29:04 They showed the Billboard like 15 times in the 1st episode.

The idea of things being random comes to mind when one of the newer people to the town asked where the hotel is. I thought this was too specific to be a random statement. He said there’s a sign for a hotel but there’s no hotel.

What about the complete blood circle symbol on the computer monitor in Tabitha's hospital room? Or her recurring head injuries? Or Boyd's recurring shoulder injuries- ALWAYS in the same place? And then there's the overt references to everything being a dream or nightmare? Fatima tells Julie "From this high, even a nightmare looks like a dream" which was entirely repeated through a flashback this season? Or Tabitha's dream of the little girl- obviously not her and from a far older time by the dress she has on? Or Boyd's flatly asking Abby's grave "maybe I'm in a hospital room and you and Ellis are trying to wake me up?" Or Abby saying it was all like a dream she had as a little girl? Maybe several people are or have experienced the same dreams as something we call "Fromville" tries to communicate or ask for help? Certainly there's a force trying to save the children and resolve whatever situation is keeping things in a repeating cycle.

Boyd got numbers "1864" from the bottle trees, and it translates to "mockery" in Greek? Is this a coincidence? Because the monsters are mocking him, saying things like "Thought you said we couldn't break you" and things like this. And the way they made him watch that awful death, but didnt kill him, just forced him to watch.

The town appears to be an old "Company Town" like a mining town- the buildings lined up along a "Main Street" where the workers live (though there should be far more homes and shops for this to be the case) and a big Mansion nearby where the mine/plant/factory owner lives (Colony House). But everything seems taken from random times- maybe only snatched on the dates on the Lighthouse? That might explain how there's a Diner and a Motel pool and sign but no motel. Also, no motel would have it's pool right at the roadside - pools are always to the rear- away from roads and parking (and there's no motel parking either).

@@bartasSM I honestly do not think the monsters were interested in killing Victor. I think they viewed him as a scared child without anyone else around to care about him. When they kill, they like to inflict pain. They kill on purpose. With no one around to care for Victor, killing him off and not having a horrified audience would be useless to the monsters. Now that he is amongst people, there are so many less knowledgeable people to kill then for them to go after Victor. He was able to live there, learn from the boy in white , and know how to stay alive. That is much more knowledge than the regular person coming into town not knowing anything.

I've been speculating that the numbers were coordinates and removing them from the trees is like removing code from a computer. In this case, it moved the destination of the Tree from near the lighthouse to near and in the pool. The numbers probably accounted for elevation- which is why Dale was in the pool wall, below ground level.

Sounds very interesting. I still find some things a little too thin, like connecting yellow website to man in yellow jacket, but numbers representing Greek words is very interesting. My leading theory, that is actually compatible, with what you said so far, is that we are in a broken repeat of the cycle. I think there was a cycle, that played out almost exactly the same, since it all started (perhaps when Europeans arrived to America, but that's just a wild guess). Cycles start, they play out and at the end everyone, without exceptions, dies. But there are some little details that can differ one cycle from another, little changes, that might persist from one cycle to the next. Those little changes accumulated in the last finished cycle with Victor being saved. Maybe those little changes were clues, that made Miranda hide Victor, maybe those clues showed her how to hide him, but at the end Victor survived, and that's why the cycle that we are seeing is so strange. It isn't exactly the same as what Victor remembers, and that's exactly because of his actions. Maybe Victor survived this long there, because monsters deactivate until the next cycle begins? Maybe Victor made preparations for this cycle, even unknowingly, following the Boy in White instructions. We even see one of his interferences on screen; he told Tabitha what to do, what his Mother plan was. If Tabitha is playing the same role as Miranda in the last cycle, she went completely off track because of this, discovering things, that she shouldn't know yet. So my theory is that everything is changing because the cycle is off it's rails, and the entity that controls it all desperately tries to get it back on track.

My main theory is: this is a cursed town, cursed by someone who cared about one or all the children who were most likely sacrifices for some ritual that most people of the town believed was necessary. This people then became immortal monsters (we know they were human before and they also behave like humans today, as Randall explained recently) and the town began to capture people all over the country - people probably related to the children somehow, reincarnations or something alike - to try and put an end to the children's souls suffering by releasing them - as the curse probably imprisoned not only their bodies but their souls as well - and the monsters "need" to keep protecting the town so the souls of the children are not freed. There's some holes in this theory but I feel like it's simple enough to be executed. This show isn't Dark or Mr Robot, feels way more like Lost. And Lost ended in a very simplistic way and I think we'll see the same here.

ALSO, about the show's name "From" I guess some of the people we watch are actually FROM that city somehow - related to the children's parents, for instance. Not everyone, since some of them got there with a lot of other people - these people are meaningless. That'd explain why some people can hear and see things and others just die randomly like the girl who was shot by the police lady.

I still don't believe Tilly is/was a mere human. Too many coincidences with her redirecting people away from asking questions (like stopping Jim from investigating the flickering lights which seemed like a pattern in the school/medical building). Then she seems unconcerned when the crow first hits the glass window and not too freaked out after it breaks the glass, flies around and kills itself. She also has obviously bullshit answers when Jim was asking her where she was going to.

I found something strange. Boyd and Sara were able to go to the forest and almost reach the tower without get a tree. If it wasn't stormy and Boyd was getting stressed, they wouldn't need to get into the tree. So, it was possible to get to the tower without a tree on foot. Right? It was just to get the same path and have the talisman to be protected throughout the night in iglu.

For example if there is a paper with the numbers 1472 the house which has that number the people living in that house have a high chance of getting stuck in the town.
