And we all know how that ended up. There was also the matter of crusaders being disorganised. They weren't really an army rather a group of armed men. We saw how disorganised they were during the 4th crusade when they decided "Hey , instead of going to Jerusalem , how about we sack the capital of Byzantine ?" yeah... You can conquer a castle/fortified city with pretty much anything. Most common ways were starving them out or flooding the castle. In fact , most of the time , trebuchets and siege towers weren't really an option because of the positions these settlements were located at. It's not a matter of equipment , it's more of a matter of everything being a mess.

So glad you added goofy - often the most fun part of doing these! I love making them so no plans to stop - fair play to the people who import midis & change the instruments (they must be doing something right as their views are through the roof compared with mine!) but that style's just not for me. Have a lot of non-medieval ideas I'd like to release soon too but wonder whether it should be on a different channel.

Dunno how that all looks from a business end but in my mind, it seems to make sense to allow the breadth of your musical interests to be in one channel. As a viewer I always like being able to easily keep up with artists that way, but again, I know not the mysteries of the youtube algorithm. I suspect knowing how to work the algorithm also accounts for the view discrepancy between you and the midi folks: all of those videos I see pop up and, according to their comment sections, get views because they showed up on peoples' "recommended" page.
