I saw another video on this that said a majority of the romanced lines are from you playing as the Origin character. I know when you’re helping/buffing/healing as Tav, if you’re romanced to the companion you’re doing the action to, Tav will say things like, “I can’t live without you,” “for you, my love”. I’m gonna try testing it again to see if I can get one of the romanced lines the next time I’m on (I romanced Astarion btw).

@@LiveAlienReaction for some people, their attraction is one part, romance and sex goes together. Thats probably most people, too. There are many aces who still feel the attraction to others - just not specifically a *sexual* attraction. We call it romantic attraction. In lamest terms, it means someone may not be attracted sexually to any gender but still wants and may seek a romantic partnership with xyz gender/s. Hope I explained it well! That and it depends on what they're helping with. There's nets or vines you get tangled in and helping with that is different than being downed.

Probably. But I also think the lead writer and Niel just got carried away maybe. Lol. I also have a sneaking suspicion that he may have become a dev favorite given his sheer amount of content and the fact that one of the major tracks (I Want to Live) seems to reference him most in it's symbolism.

I believe this is if your player character has been downed/entangled/etc and you use another character to help them, as opposed to just whenever they get injured

@@ginar2339 yes, but I always hear astarion say: when downed "you can't die, get up damn you". If he helpes, I can't remember he is says anything. Maybe a bug, I play on xbox. Or I have to listen closer.

I haven't been able to trigger most of these in the game. :( I'm not sure if it's possible. It's such a shame because I love these. I found them hidden in the game files, mixed in with a bunch of point-and-click lines and the battle sound effects.

I'm not sure if it's possible to trigger all of these in the game, unfortunately. These voiced lines can be found in the game files in the same place where all of the point-and-click and battle sounds are.

Wait they talk when they help you??? Are these from a new update or something? Cause I've legit never heard any of these except the first few 'hellos' from Astarion whenever he goes to pick a lock, but certainly never in battle. And no I'm not so good at the game that I just never need help from them. Also Astarion's sudden whispering attacked me....I'm not mad or anything, but you could've warned us.😭

i’ve only gotten 2 unique “help” lines in almost 700 hrs of gameplay. 1. a “typical” from astarion as he picked me up 🥲 sounded like a very disappointed father i literally went _”excuse me?!_ it’s not my fault im getting focused!” 2. “this isn’t what i meant when i said i wanted you to open your heart” or smth along those lines, from my tav to a downed gale. that line seems more fitting for mama k i think
