The amount of love Necromancy gets in Baldurs Gate 3 gives me so much happiness because i played my first play-through as one, my Tav being a Necromancy Wizard I played in my first dnd campaign. A fellow Necromancy Wizard enjoyer loving this content!!

Act 2 is always a treat for necromancy since you can go to the oubliette in the prison area to summon as many dead as you like with no worries about needing corpses.

@@remortisgaming I ran my tav as a level 12 githyanki Lore Bard, Lae'zel was 8 tiger barbarian with wolverine aspect and 4 levels into battle master fighter (with Booal's Benediction), Gale level 12 abjuration wizard and Shadowheart level 12 Light Cleric. I swapped out gale to try Minthara as I never got her as a companion before. She was level 2 Fighter/level 10 sword bard (a bully on the battlefield). Shadowheart got swapped for Gale at the end because he was max friendship with my tav and I chose to sacrifice him at the very end to insta win the final boss. I had come so far and this opportunity came up so I took it. I felt it was too risky to attempt the brain.

@@remortisgaming Minthara had the helmet of arcane acuity and the band of the mystic scoundrel. At level 10 she got magical secrets, so I grabbed Command. The team synergized so well together, it felt fantastic smacking the bosses or getting off a clutch Fairie Fire or prone status from Reverberation. Shadowheart ran the radiant orb set, Lae'zel the Reverberation set, Tav cc'd everything and Minthara sniped. Gale grabbed the callous glow ring from shadow and the gloves of reverb from Lae'zel to help bring down Orin. Level 6 Magic Missile that applies reverb and extra radiant damage hurts.

Some spells I have noticed get improved when you go solo: 1) Sanctuary; if they cannot target you but you are the only target that means they can only use AOEs 2) Thunderwave: I have noticed this is usually a mediocre spell but when you have a bunch of melee grunts coming at you this spell gets much more useful.

Fun fact! You were originally supposed to be able to recruit Kethric and have him be a spy within the cult of the Absolute. I think that would've been a cool thing, especially for a Durge playthrough, because then you could ask him questions like "How do you know me?" And "Do you know what happened/what's wrong with me?"

at 16:40 when you are trying to hit the statue to turn it, you can also use grease to free it off to move

When going for that Blood of Lathander (or however you spell it), instead of hitting that strength threshold, I'm 99% sure you can just use grease. Either the spell, a scroll, or a grease bottle

Btw If you unequip and reequip the shield of devotion you can continuously restore level 1 spell slots. At least you used to be able to, I haven't finished the gith yet on this run so I haven't made it to act two yet. Going to cheese lots of sorcery points with it.

Not sure if somebody already beat me to it, but a fun fact I discovered recently. With the ceremonial weapons for that puzzle, you can actually use any weapon that matches the type for all of them, not just the mace! And the rusty mace that's buried there isn't actually the ceremonial mace! The ceremonial mace is being held by one of the kobolds. Beat the game a handful of times already and just now found that out by accidentally putting the wrong hammer down haha.

1 life cleric 11 necro life cleric works with grim harvest bless is op for minions and sanctuary is always op you can use Abyss Beckoners on ghouls since they can't go mad and use Circlet of Bones with sanctuary so you can stay close for abyss buff.Good job on myrkul him and orin hardest for solo imo rest are optional so you don't need to do

And also! I don't know if it works, but I have an idea for your build. In my current first playthrough, my team consists of my Evoc Wizard, Necromancer Gale and Shadowheart (plus Karlach, but she is mostly a meat shield). I summon 1 Skeleton and Shovel with Tav, 2 Skeletons with Gale, 1 Skeleton with Shadowheart and Karlach summons Scratch. Then I buff everyone's max HP with Shadowheart. Yesterday I found out that you can cast Aid with a Level 3 Spell Slot for 10 max HP instead of 5 and was stoked... and now comes my question, is it possible to multiclass a Wizard, who has Level 3 Spell Slots, into a Cleric, learn Aid through spellscribing and cast Aid with the Level 3 Spell Slot your Wizard Levels gave you or do you have to have the required Level in Cleric to cast Aid? If it works like that, investing 1 level in Cleric would give you and your minions 10 bonus max HP, but only if it works like that, of course :D

Yes, but I was using Phalar Aluve there for the extra damage from Shriek. To hopefully do more dmg from myself by lowering his resistances (so moonbeam will hit harder) but also if that dumb angel came over and smacked him.

the correct answer to "why you dont murder vereybody?" is: Larian made a stupid decision of making story very punishing for being "evil" character. i much more like how they went about it in Divinity. being evil should not be punished, its simply the other way to play the game, both should have upsides and downsides

Last time I checked Ghouls and Flying Ghouls are immune to Demonspirit Madness from Abyss Beckoner gloves. This allows you to make them resistant to almost everything with no downside. Very op once you get Ghoul Pack + Danse Macabre.
