Once all completed, then you graduate college with the Degree of that major. example, you complete all the engineering classes and are now able to graduate with a degree in engineering, The Original comment is funny because you can’t graduate from college if you never chose something to graduate from (nursing,Engineering, psychology,etc) The fact that he graduated without a degree means they just let him graduate because he was there for so long and probably had earned the same amount of a credits a normal college graduate would have at the end of 4 years.

I have seen family get in shits creek tens of thousands in debt due to college. College was never really that great since the 1980s it was always extremely costly and annoying amounts of work to prove something you can get done in less time. Most of the time you train for the job before that you learn nothing it’s like a school where you have to “prove” your worthy for a job with cash and useless tests. let’s not speak about the fact even a 2 year degree sucks and you get nothing from paying out thousands of dollars. And let’s also not talk about how garbage the jobs are I respect good teachers because they get paid 48,000-60,000 that’s nothing really for such a long curriculum. My parents pushed me into college and I left as quick as I could. I faired much better just doing stocks and whatever I wanted to do on my own than let someone else push me into a guidedless institution.

@@australium7374 I feel whatever you do after school should be with a purpose , if you need to go to school for a trade or high value skill do it and then you can use that to start a business etc or stuff such as engineers or doctors but you can do stuff just because people say so you gotta do it for you and teachers get paid more like 30k tbh in most situations unless they are college professors it’s actually sad but if it’s what they like to do, it’s fun and they make it work.

He started taking English and Literature, mostly because the VA had told him he had to use or loose his GI Bill benefits. The English and Literature folks told him he had to take a Psychology or Sociology class, he did that for a while. Then the Prof who was his counselor in the Psych department said he had to take statistics. So, took algebra and statistics classes, decided that was fun,and changed his major to Mathematics. they told him he needed to take chemistry class. That seemed fun, so he started taking Chem classes. They told him he had to take a physics class, they told him he had to lear to program computers and module things. He decided that was fun, and I met him when I was working as the Night Operator of the mainframe. The was the semester they made up the “Bachelor of Science Americanus”. And, made him graduate. He was making more than most of the Profs, and there mostly because for a highly intelligent, non-drinker in Vegas, there wasn’t a lot for him to do.

That's why you don't take part-time classes or be too indecisive about your major. Your better off not going to college and going at 29 than spending that much money and time on a useless degree 🎓. Law, Computer Science, and General Technology, or Medicine, or even Engineering. Are better majors that will give you a better return on your investment in the long term. @Very Good True, but college isnt the only way for success. Trade school does teach you skills that you can use that pay well. College can teach you important things as well, but most people are in heavy amounts of debt. If they're lucky enough they get payed good, but a lot of people don't. I'm a college dropout and was an A student that professors love, but I hated it and found a different path. Now I've learned skills that are in demand and I don't have much debt. I love my job and I get payed well.

It took me 7 years to completely my 4 year degree in Mechanical Engineering (well actually "5 year degree", all the advicers said don't even try to finish it in 4 years. They said taking that many hours in your senior year, you might bomb them all because they are tough) if I had to do it all again, I wouldn't. Has been a tough journey. I'm just lucky I'm interested in my degree. You have people who do it and hate it because they have no interest.

@marusdod36853 жыл бұрын
@@jonsnow1055 not really, you can be the best in your field and never even make it into the interview phase. You probably live in a country with a pretty decent job market and you've never considered that, but imagine 3rd world countries where the ratio of graduates to high-skilled job posts is 10000:1, you're very lucky to get an unpaid internship in that scenario. "Just move where all the jobs are bro", doesn't work unless they let H1B's move
@jonsnow10553 жыл бұрын
@@marusdod3685 Okay I am probably less informed but certainly it depends on the batch size of the college you graduate from as well. In my college companies select students from the campus and most do get selected. I admit that it is not easy for everyone but life offers only equal opportunities not complete equality.
