I was wondering if Anandji could speak to the ragas that Bhimsenji sang his Sant Vani in. Some, for example, say the basic raga of Mazhe Maher Pandhari is Deshkar. Others say Shuddha Kalyan with shades of Durga. Also I am wondering if Anandji could speak to Bhimsenji’s various collaborations with Ram Phatakji and Srinivas Khaleji who composed some of Panditji’s most famous abhangs, particularly in the three volume LP set of Abhangvani that HMV released in the 1980s. The music style from compositions to music arrangement were all very different in these albums. How did Panditji adjust to these differences and to singing abhangs in such a tight time frame in comparison to a stage setting. The same applies to his Hindi and Kannada Bhajans. It must have been difficult at some level to sing in three to six minute format with musical interludes like in his album with Lataji or his studio recording of bhajans for the Vaishnodevi Mandir in the 1990s.
