nicely explained the word immovable soul and counter for atheistic concept that, life is just stack of chemicals.

Thank you for nicely explaining the process of incarnation and transmigration. In the transmigration the focus is on the journey whereas the emphasis on re-incarnation is coming into a flesh body. Our body is peripheral to the soul.

Amazing like always. 1 more reason that I heard in SP lecture is that jiva comes to material world with purusha mentality (not with prakriti mentality) - willingness to be an enjoyer and is hence addressed as such. Thanks a lot Prji.

The soul cannot be moved by anything material.

Soul is not subject to the six types of material changes. It's indestructible; transmigrates from one body to another. It's sarvgatha.

The soul is unmanifested in the beginning, then manifests and again becomes unmanifested. So Arjuna's relatives will get a new body after their death and hence no need for Arjuna to lament.

Process of transmigration is being described. We use transmigration and reincarnation interchangeably. Are two same? Not necessarily. In TM focus is on journey. Reincarnation focus is on coming into a body. We wear different dresses according to what we do - formal, informal, warm, etc. But we and dress are different. Best yoga is bhakti yoga. We don’t have to bother which hole soul is living from body. We have to bother of remembering K.

2.22 - 2.28 - Clarifying the characteristics of the soul. 2.22 -Just as human being gives up old garment and accepts the new garment, similarly soul accepts new bodies after giving up old and useless ones. We use transmigration and reincarnation interchangeably. In TM focus is on journey. Reincarnation focus is on coming into a body. Soul leaves through one of the nine holes. We have to bother of remembering Krishna. We are dressed for and dressed by our desires. 2.23 - The soul is not destroyed by weapons or burnt by fire, not dissolved by water and not withered away by the wind. Things that harm the body can not harm the soul. 2.24 - Soul is unbreakable, insoluble, cannot be burnt, or dried. He is everlasting, present everywhere, unchangeable, immovable and eternally the same. 2.25 - Soul is invisible, inconceivable, immutable. So you should not grieve for the body. 2.26 - Even if you think that soul will be born and die, still you should not lament. 2.27 - On who has taken birth is sure to die, after death one is sure to take birth again. So do not lament and discharge your duty. 2.28 - All beings are unmanifested in their beginning, manifest in their interim state and unmanifest when annihilated. So no need to lament.
