Oh, cool! Only finding this now. But I am the one who made the (very simple) AGAINST mod, and quite a few other, partly way more refined, mods. Thank you so much for doing the lord's work haha. A lot of the other games I've wanted to play were also mods and not official integrations, they work great though- much appreciated! Do you do any other kind of modding besides haptics?

@@AtomBombBody I only ever modded for bhaptics integration, nothing else. I honestly just enjoy the sensation so much that I don't want to play games without it. :-) The bhaptics team is just having a hard time convincing older and larger games to implement it natively, since there is nothing "in it" for them, and they are focusing on follow-up games... If you have wishes or ideas for mods or native integrations, stop by the bhaptics Discord. I am there quite a bit, and the company is also very present. :-)

just got the vest but my god... just cant get it to work so far.... can get it to pair but it doesnt do anything in games and also cant find it in contractors for example when trying to pair.. I have a shitload of bluetooth deviced I use with my pc... really a hassle

Do i need to run Vrchat on steam to get it to work? mine is a x16, does it need to be a x40?

As far as I know it only works with the Steam version, but you can check their guide here: bhaptics.notion.site/How-to-play-VRChat-with-bHaptics-375a0f3e87ca47eb943699780cb238cd The number of motors isn't a factor, it's more that the game is modded or has the bhaptics SDK added to it (harder to do on Quest games because of the environment being more controlled)

The company is based in South Korea but they have different retailers you can buy them in different countries. There's a 'find a retailer' button on their website once you click on a product (next to add to cart).

For some reason my vest doesn’t work at all. It always says it’s paired and when I test it it works fine, but even on native supported games the best just doesn’t work. Same with modded. It even has the green icon at the bottom of the player saying the vest is paired to the game, and I’m starting to think my vest is defective. Did anyone else have this issue or is there something im missing?

@@AtomBombBody boneworks and blade and sorcery, for blade and sorcery I fixed the issue because not all file inside the mod fully downloaded (I don’t know why) so I had to manually add them. Bonelab is a lost cause. No matter what I can’t get it to work so I just left it for another time. Melonloader 6.0 won’t work, so I had to revert to an older version.

I have the same issue, and I don't know how to fix it. My vest works in the bhaptic player, but when I switch to the thrill to fight or onward, the Bluetooth disconnects, and I can't reconnect. Have you figured out a solution. I have been looking everywhere.

Would love to get this, but I'm not sure the Bluetooth would reach my play area since I use a quest wirelessly in a different room from my pc

Yeah, I don't think the range would be very far unfortunately. The dongle seems very sensitive to anything blocking the signal as well.

@@AtomBombBody that's a bit of a shame. I wonder if the vest requires you to use that specific dongle, or maybe I could swap it with a longer range Bluetooth dongle. Or even just trail a usb extension cable from my pc to my play area haha

I bought mine like 3 years ago but didnt get it to work till today because my bluetooth always disconnects 😓 I literally tried everything if i move 1 meter aways from my pc it disconnects

For me I’ll buy haptics when I can feel them. If I’m playing vtol vr, I want to feel the weight of the g-forces I’m pulling. For me I’d buy what I saw on a video. If your playing a fps and get shot or stabbed, you get a little electric shock at the place you got shot or stabbed. That would be more realistic than a vibration. You actually feel some pain. I’d use bhaptics just to give me a upper body massage

Might want to look into the Owo vests. I didn't get to try them at CES unfortunately but instead of motor haptics, they use electrodes in the shirt. owogame.com/ Saw a few people try it, seemed like it hurt at least a little. :P

No need for a PC for Quest games, just need to connect the vest to your Quest via bluetooth. The bhaptics Quest app is also helpful for testing out some of the haptics.

For the price, no. It would just become a massage vest at that point. It's biggest selling point definitely would be for use in games.

I just got one question. The experimental features only show like two things or so. Now my question is can I still pair the haptic suit by using the normal Bluetooth setting ?

If you are using it with a Quest that is pretty much exactly what you do (just search for bluetooth devices and pair the tactsuit). For PC you can pair it how you'd like but you'd still need the app to detect it in order to determine which game you are playing so it can apply the custom haptics appropriately (if applicable).

@@gianhaas8656 Correct. In games that support native haptics, some will have an in game setting to enable it (I don't know if ALL the native support games have this option though, for some it might work just by default).

Hello, thank you for the video! I have looked all over KZbin and you're one of the few people that so actually interesting reviews, instead of a comedy show (of what happens when you combine bHaptics and vr chat xD.) I got a question though: I've seen the vibration motors were audible on review/ fun videos using bhaptics and that multiple times. So I was wondering is it really audible when the haptics are doing their work or is it really minor and doesn't really impact anything / is not really audible and their mic's are just super sensitive? Have you also tried the arm addition? If so, can you actually feel it in your entire arm or only the small part where the device is gonna be placed at? :)

Thanks for the compliments! I have a noise gate on my mic so it doesn't get picked up on mine. That being said the loudest part will probably be *tink* of the zipper handle against the zipper teeth, that tends to be a little louder when the motors around it cause it to vibrate. If it really bothered you or was picked up by your mic you could probably just cover the zipper handle in some kind of softer material so it doesn't "clink" against the teeth. I only have the vest unfortunately!

@@FANOFPORTAL2 By 'full immersion haptics' do you mean custom integrations? As in the game reacts to specific moments of the game (gunshots, knife stabbings etc) vs general rumbling based audio? All of the custom stuff so far is for VR but the vest will work with *any* audio, it just won't be as refined and will be more like the 7 Days to Die example I used in the video.

Hey can you tell me if this works in VR chat? Ive got the Quest 2 and on the bhaptics site it says its only available through a mod via Rift or Steam Index but I heard there are some workarounds. Would really consider buying the whole set with vest and stuff but Im not sure if its compatible.

Hey there, the answer isn't exactly an *easy* one but I did some poking around their Discord and here's what I found: "Repository: github.com/HerpDerpinstine/bHapticsOSC Wiki: github.com/HerpDerpinstine/bHapticsOSC/wiki VRChat Avatar World: vrchat.com/home/world/wrld_84e1a940-c139-44dc-8ddf-e2a3c5b2a4d9 Since the OSC update all you need is to download BhapticsOSC app… step 1 boot up bhaptics player, step 2 boot up vrchat, step 3 boot up BhapticsOSC. And it should be working as normal." Apparently melonloader which was what they used to use for the VRChat bhaptics mod is no longer updated, so the above method might be best.
