The art forms in Bharatiya Sanskriti have always been deeply associated with Sanatan philosophy and spiritualism. Although the basic aim of any art is to provide joy, it is also a soul-searching experience for the artist, who, in return, can provide ecstasy to the viewers. Dr. Rajnish Kumar Mishra gives an overview of Indian art forms, discussing the role of Tantra and metaphysics in comparison to the art in Semitic religions.
