When we started Bharatvaarta in Feb 2020, Vikram Sood sir was on my wishlist of guests for the pod and I'm thrilled that we could finally host him! Thank you to Sagorika Sinha for enabling this. this is a great podcast. Loved this format without edits. 43:26 It's a misconception that the Pakistani army targeted Bengali Muslims. I was also under this assumption until recently. While they did hunt down Muslim especially Muslim intellectuals at the beginning of Operation Searchlight, the majority of the Pakistani army's medieval savagery was borne by Bengali Hindus. Their homes were marked with yellow 'H' signs, and 90% of the refugees in India were Hindus. The army used Hindus as scapegoats to keep Bengali Muslims in line.

The podcast was insightful and engaging, it delivered an excellent, well-structured presentation that kept the audience interested throughout. The content was top-notch, and all three of you brought fresh perspectives, which I truly appreciated. However, there was one issue that disrupted the experience for me-the voice of the female speaker. While everything she said was sensible and on point, her voice quality was somewhat distracting and broke the momentum at several points. At one moment, I almost considered stopping the episode. If you plan to keep her as part of the podcast, I’d recommend using AI tools to modulate or enhance her voice, which could greatly improve the overall flow and listening experience.

This interview could have easily been the best I’ve ever seen or heard, if not for the interruptions from Sagorika Sinha and at times by Roshan Cariappa while Mr. Sood was discussing critical topics e.g. engineered chaos in the neighborhood. It’s rare to have the opportunity to listen to a trained intelligence head, and I wish there had been deeper discussion on the implications of the Russia-China relationship, why the U.S. president met with Khalistani leaders before meeting with Modi, and the rise of terrorism in India.
